The Warriors defeated the Clippers 98-79,
shooting 45.3% from the field and 37.8% from
three (17-for-45). Every Golden State starter
scored at least 7 points, with Jimmy Butler IlII
leading the way with 21 points on 75% shooting.
Stephen Curry added 19 points and a game-high 8
assists. Quinten Post hit 4 three-pointers,
matching Brandin Podziemski's 12 points. The
Warriors recorded 24 assists and 11 steals, and
attempted only 4 free throws, tying for one of the
lowest single-game totals by a team in recent
regular season history. The Clippers managed just
79 points on 36.6% shooting and 18.2% from
three (6-for-33), with only two players in double
figures: James Harden led with 20 points and
Kawhi Leonard scored 18. Ivica Zubac grabbed 13
rebounds (6 offensive), leading all players, and the
Clippers narrowly won the rebounding battle
(54-49) but converted little on second-chance
opportunities. The Clippers ended the game with
just 10 assists and committed only 5 personal
fouls, an exceptionally low figure for a full
48-minute game.
