This is Rhianna Evardone Flores, but we call her Yhanna or Nana. She is a 13 year old grade 6 pupil. According to her mother, she has a condition of speech and language delay. According to her mother, she barely speak words before but as she grew older and encounter many people, she started speaking words and can now communicate with others thru verbal and sign language. But despite her condition, she is gifted with such talent in volleyball which Sir Jan's discovered during the tryout for Unit Meet Girls Volleyball Elementary Division this year. We were shocked to see her performance, from her hard services, defense and hard hits.
After their Unit Meet run has ended, she became one of the newly additions to the Camp, adding joy, power, and also she serves as an example of inclusivity in this camp and in this sport that despite her condition, it never became a hendrance for her to pursue her love and passion to the sport that she grew up loving.
May she serve as an example that no matter what you go through in life, as long as you are passionate and you have the heart to pursue things that you are passionate about, then the journey may be hard but in the end it'll surely be worth it.
Rhianna, Yhanna, Nana and to your parents, BIG THANK YOU for trusting this camp and for entrusting your child with us, we promised to make her stay as gentle and joyful as it could be. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH YHANNAAAA❤️💞
