🖤 CAN YOU FORGIVE US? 🤍

We would like to formally apologize for the suspicious lack of match coverage over the weekend.

After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the club admin simply couldn’t be in multiple places at once. Admin sadly has not yet mastered the art of cloning themselves… 🫣

We acknowledge that this is not up to our usual standards. To make it up to you, here’s some leftover footage from our amazing Club Weekend a couple of weeks ago. 📸 Credits: Vaughan McNabb

⚫️ WHAT'S ON THIS WEEKEND ⚪️

Everyone's back in action this weekend, check out the full schedule below. Note that some of our juniors will be playing at Nuhaka Domain for Nuhaka Sports & Recreation Club's Club Day!

🟡 Mercantile round 4 is on tomorrow night, we're halfway through round-robin already.

🏉 Some of our juniors will visit Nuhaka but there will be matches on at Lambton Square also.

🏐 Back-to-back Athletic matches on the courts, starting with White at 11.10am followed by Black at 12pm.

🏉 Exciting Nuhaka club day clash coming up for our men, kick off is at 2pm.

⚽ Football will travel to Gisborne with a full squad to take on Thistle at 2.45pm.

Come out this weekend to support our players and visit Nuhaka for their club day. Loads of exciting stuff on, see you there! 🖤🤍

Aaand breathe... After one of our busiest weekends we've got a quiet one this week. Give us all some time to recover. Still, not everyone is taking a break and there's some good sport to enjoy for the long weekend. Check out the schedule below! 👇

🟡 Mercantile round 3 starts tomorrow at 5.30pm - join us for a burger and a drink and cheer on the teams!

🏉 No rugby action this weekend as all teams have a weekend off.

🏐 No netball either so the girls will have a well-deserved rest.

⚽️ Senior football is at home once again, hosting Wainui Sharks at Bayleys Athletic Park.

🩶 WHAT'S ON FOR CLUB WEEKEND 🩶

Tomorrow we kick off our Bill Meek Memorial Club Weekend - get ready for some sporting action!

🟡 12 Teams have entered the Squash Relay Competition, starting at 5.15pm tomorrow. Who's excited to see this year's outfits? ✋

🏉 Saturday starts with all our junior teams playing at home, the first games kicking off at 9am. A sausage sizzle will be on first thing too! 🌭

🏐 Athletic Black and White play at the same time at the Wairoa Netball Courts, so get your eye in to catch all the action. 👀

🏉 Our senior 1's host Ngatapa at home, with a 2pm kickoff. Just enough time for a warmup after watching junior and netball. 💪

⚽ Wait, no Veterans vs Rookies match for Club Weekend? Nope, the boys have a regular fixture and look forward to welcoming Schockers Gold at 1.30pm. 😏

We are so excited to have you all at Bayleys Athletic Park this weekend! Come and support the teams, catch up with mates, share a laugh, and celebrate our club and all past and present members who helped shape and build Athletic. 🩶🩶
