There are 2 types of netballers
> 1 who attends netball training sessions
> 1 who do not attend regularised training sessions
It is a fact that young families have multiple sporting and social commitments on a daily basis. Attending a small window of Netball training becomes a challenging balancing act Kapa haka, piano lessons, dancing, guitar classes, rugby football
The logistics of maneuvering between the different activities become stressful for the individuals and parent chauffeurs.
As coaches we salute and acknowledge those who make training, turn up and we teach.
The mission of the Boot camp programme is to provide a forum whereby capturing and working with those who need the boost.
The winter competitions are well embedded. Sideline assessments clearly indicate many players need extra support.
There is a compelling mantra
"Train hard, game easy "
Help is there for those who choose to seek

Happy Mothers day
Trust that all families enjoyed their day of relaxing and sharing personal moments with besties. Mothers will invariably turn out, will deal with multiple issues simultaneously, will plan, conduct and execute mini tasks seamlessly to enable the smooth flow of the daily routine. What appears to be routine takes sheer physical and mental demands. We often take things for granted.
So. A special thought and appreciation for our Mothers.
With best regards

The first picture depicts our Uber driver guiding us to the MIS courts in Redwood Street Upper Hutt. Our mission is the Netball Boot Camp training session.
Sunday 26 April 10.30am thru noon.
We train
We train
We train
We have three training sessions before the season starts. Tomorrow, Tuesday and Thursday.
Training is all about preparing for the netball season. Raising fitness levels, understanding and application of the Rules of Netball, appreciation of on court awareness accuracy of catching and passing techniques, driving to the ball, warm up and warm down routines.
Wow , a cascade of issues that enhances any team to do well.
If we trail on the score board, the other team is better prepared. We therefore have to make sure each moments count.
We will be there.
Visitors and newbies are welcome

Grabbing Opportunities
Like all facets thru the journey in life it is a matter of grabbing Opportunities as they present. These young netballers gravitated to the courts hugely self motivated and willingly participated.Several first timers, but with many who have been together with us since day one early January.
Fortunately the weather was awesome and the netball Boot Camp programme flowed seamlessly.
A big ups to the four mothers who remained throughout.
> helped with catching and passing techniques
> helped with co umpire
> helped during a sickness episode
> contacted parents
> helped during drink breaks
> guiding the several remaining off courts during game time
> being present at the warm down
Self reflection
1. Netballers turned up
2. Massive parental support before, during and after training
3. 1 sickness episode, no injuries
4. All gear accounted for and packed away
5. Cordless digital inflator recharged
6. Boom box recharged
7 car vacuumed and washed
8. Two x ginger beers expired
9. Social media trending
Many many thanks to those supporting our young netballers. Life is challenging but good.

Clarity
Intent
Ex*****on
Netballers 2026 would realise the picture of the younger 'coach' is merely providing an opportunity for players to improve and to push themselves to be better than yesterday.
Players who have -
Clarity of purpose, clear in what they want to personally achieve for their chosen sport.
Clarity that refreshing netball skills, raising fitness levels is going to enhance their self-esteem thru the season
Clarity that grabbing the here and now is vital
Demonstrated clear intent by having their netball gear ready, snack meals , arrive early at court
Demonstrated intent by having clothing suitable for the physical activity, fingernails are trimmed and smoothed, own drink bottles and towel available
Executed say a simple chest pass, straight to the player, or off centre, with the best choice of speed
Executed that chest pass within 3 seconds to avoid the umpires whistle and 3 fingers raising
So. Boot Camp training today is on, all ages welcome. Overcast but sunny at the moment.
Packing the car soon.
