!!Special Announcement - Disc golf to air on Māori Television!!

A wee while ago Greater Wellington Disc Golf was approached about introducing a few local sporting legends to disc golf. On behalf of the club, The Human Highlighter - Brady Kuech and Jack Ryan met with Piri Weepu and Niniwa Roberts on a sunny Monday afternoon to introduce them to the sport and coach them through a round. Competition and laughter ensued. The best part is, Whakaata Māori filmed the whole thing!

What a beautiful day. Course will be open from 10am signature hole 8 looking flash for today.

Hole 8 is a CTP today with a peka peka up for grabs.
Only the main tee off is playing for the CTP

We will put a kids tee around the left side of the lake but won’t be marked on U disc.

Tomorrow is the day we get to finally unlock the full 18 at Trentham!

Under the events tab in U disc you will find Trentham social league, you can score two rounds and of course it’s flexi start so if you wanted a practice round first go for it.

Who knows there might even be a prize or two just for using the app!

Big thank you to Disc Shop Disc Golf and everyone that has supplied baskets for the weekend. We can’t do these events without you 🙂

Course open from 10am.
Green fee $10.
Vaccine pass required.
General golf course dress code enforced see previous posts.
We will be around the club rooms untill 12pm to receive green fees and check vaccine passes. If you turn up after that please message us to let us know you have arrived so we can sort payment.

The team is working hard to get the tee pad and ramp as good as we can for the weekend on hole 15.

Why a ramp and not steps got to think of our carts users too of course.

As most of you know we are opening the full 18 holes up this Sunday at Trentham golf course!

Open on Sunday 13th March from 10am.
Course will be open until 4pm.
Green Fee of $10.

Covid passport will be required and will be checked by myself along with taking your green fee. If you can bring $10 cash that would be ideal. We can sort bank transfer as last resort (please note this is a temporary solution only).

Dress code is in effect.

Everyone is to start play on hole 1.

The course is now up on U Disc. If you can’t see it on the map please search for Trentham in the courses tab.

Also if people could share their score cards to us that would be great. We will use them to get a feel for how easy/ hard the course is playing and if we need to tweak certain holes.

Golfers have right of way always. We are on their course atm so please show respect to all staff ,current club members and green fee players.

Finally I want to give a big shout to Disc Shop Disc Golf.
Without Haydn Shore and his baskets these events would not be possible. He will be supplying 9 baskets for all 3 events.

So as long as you have $10, a covid pass and meet the dress code I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Pretty cool getting to walk the final round alongside Mitch Hutson to watch him take out the NZ title for MA1 epic work man.

We have U disc set up for the upcoming full 18 basket event at trentham on the 13th of march but for now at least you can have a sneak peak.

What a start! Cheers to everyone involved! There were a few brave souls who attacked hole 8 :) We look foward to showing everyone the back 9 in a fortnight and hopefully getting Wellingtons first full 18 hole course in the ground in the not to distant future!
