RACE DAY RESULTS 🏁

What a night! Motto at the minute seems to be “anything worth doing will be hard”. We had a few issues earlier in the night with set up, slowly tweaking things throughout the night in between heat races. But also many positives. The late nights working in the shed paid off, always handy to have brakes that’s for sure. A thing you take for granted until you don’t have them 😅

As well as carrying out a good result in the feature, great to have some more seat time and slowly but surely improving. Big congratulations to the boys who got on the podium tonight, watching some of the battles going on in front of me were pretty epic. Just a tad too far back to be apart of them!

Big thank you to McDonald's Kihikihi Speedway for a great nights racing and firework display 🎆

▪️RACE 1: Grid 7, Finished 7th
▪️RACE 2: Grid 6, Finished 4th
▪️40 LAP FEATURE: Grid 7, Finished 5th

We have meetings every weekend leading up to the New Year. Next weekend we are back at the home track for the Bill Buckley Classic at:
📍Baypark Speedway

As always, thank you to all of my generous sponsors! 🙌🏻

⚡️ RACE DAY ! ⚡️

Just like that race day has rolled round again! We have headed to McDonald's Kihikihi Speedway for the Rosetown 40 Lapper.

Over the past weeks the crew have been pulling some late nights in the shed to get the car ready. A massive shout out to the boys for all of their hard work, coming straight after work to hook in and help get us here. We have been having a few issues with the car but are hopeful we have found a solution 🤞🏻

Excited to get some more laps in, nothing beats being on the track. Slowly but surely perfecting the set up on the new car and getting more seat time is paramount.

Racing kicks off at 4.30pm, gates open 2.30pm. For anybody heading to the track tonight, make sure to come say hello and grab a poster or sticker!

As always, so grateful to have the support I do. Massive thank you to:

A big Happy Birthday to two of our own, Brent and Luke! 🎉🏁

Two pretty important parts of McClymont Racing, and we couldn’t do it without either of them! We hope you both have a good one, enjoy a few cold ones and maybe even a day off from the race cars 😂🍻

Happy Birthday boys! 🤟🏁

🏁 Baypark Speedway – Opening Night 🏁

A solid first outing for the team at Baypark Speedway! Plenty of positives to take away from the night, lots learned along the way and a few issues to sort out before the next meeting. Always something to learn when you’re coming to grips with a new car but it’s all part of the process and we’re looking forward to building on it!

🏁 Race Results 🏁

🔹 Heat 1: Started 8th – Finished 5th
🔹 Heat 2: Started 7th – Finished 7th
🏆 Feature: Started 6th – Finished 7th

All in all a good night of getting laps under our belt, learning more about the new car, and figuring out what we need to work on moving forward. We’ve got a few things to iron out but there’s plenty of potential there and we’re keen to keep making progress and get back out there for the next meeting!

A massive thank you to everyone who has helped get us to this point and continues to support me both on and off the track. To everyone who has put in the time, effort, and hard work behind the scenes as well as all our supporters and sponsors, I appreciate every single one of you. Couldn’t do it without you! 👊

BAYPARK PRACTICE! ⚡️

A day we have all been looking forward to as a team. Nothing beats being at the home track. Two weekends ago, we headed to Kihikihi to test out the new set up on the car. As expected there were a few things to tweak and some adjustments to be made to make things run a little smoother. One more test run at the home track before race day comes around!

Looking forward to having another test of the car and get more seat time. Should be a great day! sun is shining and we are one week closer to opening night 🤩

To anyone who’s around - tracks open to the public as well, free entry. Come on down and check out the new car, 2pm kick off!

A massive thanks to all of our sponsors that have made this possible! It wouldnt happen without you guys & girls🤝
Thank you to my sponsors backing me again! I wouldn’t be able to be what I do!

SUIT REVEAL! 🔥

I was absolutely stoked to receive this package from Fastmaster Enterprises yesterday!

Alastair went above and beyond to get me kitted out with my suit, gloves and undergarments. With his signwriting and System Decal’s vision, I’m sure I’ll stand out alongside the car all season long!

The colourways, attention to detail and quality of the gear are everything I’ve dreamed of. Famous saying goes, “Look good, feel good, do good”. When it comes to racing, safety is just as important as looking the part, fortunate enough to have the best of both worlds.

To be able to have Pop and Grand Dad with me for each race just makes it that much more special 🕊️

Having top-quality gear that matches the car is absolutely insane! 🤩

A massive thank you to Alastair and everyone involved in making this happen. I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all come together!

Bring on the season! 🏎️🏁

🏁 Where it all began 🏁

Luke’s first race win at an SNZ track, at 12 years old in his first season of ministocks, which started an incredible journey!
