We also operate the Raetihi Holiday Park, a fantastic spot for you to stay. We started our Adventure Tourism Lifestyle in 2009, when we purchased a few canoes and built our first business; Whanganui River Canoes. In 2011 we moved to the peaceful town, Raetihi, and moved into The Raetihi Holiday Park. About the same time The Great NZ Cycle Trails began, and the Bridge to Nowhere Track was opened fo
r Mountain Bikers. We have offered shuttles to the Bridge to Nowhere Bike track since it opened. In 2021 we took the opportunity to purchase another trusted business, Mountain Bike Station. So we now offer itinerary planning and shuttles for the Mountains To Sea Cycle Trail. From our Holiday Park, you can also arrange shuttles to The Tongariro Crossing, Accommodation, Mountain Bike hire - and can help you with nearly any adventure in the Ruapehu Region. The Ruapehu Adventure hub is based in Raetihi: a small town in the Central Plateau. In Summer we are really close to TWO NATIONAL PARKS and DOC GREAT WALKS! The Tongariro Crossing is a popular one day walk with shuttles that leave from Raetihi every day in summer. The Whanganui River Journey is a 3-5 day paddle, and one canoe operator on the Whanganui River is based in Raetihi! If you still want to see the beauty of the Whanganui but only have one day, we are the closest town to Pipiriki, where the one/two day jet boat tours start. In Winter we are the most affordable town near Mt Ruapehu, a popular mountain with two different ski fields. There are three main accommodation providers in Raetihi, The Raetihi Holiday Park, Snowy Waters Lodge, and the Airport Backpackers. This page is to keep you updated on things going on in the are, and feel free to contact us to ask any questions.
