Our riders this week had a little more adventure than our standard Mountains to Sea NZ riders 😁Starting their ride in the snow, they made their way through the trail until they reached a dead end where the Whanganui River has come up over the Whanganui River Road. They took it in good spirit though as they were not so keen on riding the Gentle Annie 😉

A huge thank you to Phil, our first group of Mountains to Sea NZ riders for the 25/26 season. They battled all the elements, wind, rain, snow, flooded rivers and strong sunshine. But loved the ride. It felt like a real family affair, with Ben and Rebecca running them through day 1, Trev (Rebecca's dad) helping throughout the rest of the journey. They got to know Jas and Blake, our oldest kids at the Bridge to Nowhere Lodge, and at the end of the trail they sheltered from the wind and had a celebration platter at Aunty Karen's, overlooking the North Mole ❤️❤️

The Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail can be ridden over 3, 4 or 5 days, from Turoa on Mt Ruapehu to the Sea in Whanganui.
