We’re collecting good-quality, usable softball gear and finding it a new home within our softball community, helping another player get on the field without the expense of buying everything new.

🥎 That’s a wrap on our 10-Week Winter Skills Clinic! 🥎

Tonight we finished our Winter Skills Development Clinic with a rules session led by Mud, a Level 5 umpire, who took the kids through some of the key rules and those need-to-know moments on the diamond.

There were plenty of “ahhh, I didn’t know that!” moments, and everyone came away with something — even some of our senior players! 😂

A huge thank you to Mud for sharing his knowledge.

Over the past 10 weeks, we’ve seen some awesome development, improved skills, growing confidence and, most importantly, plenty of kids enjoying their softball. 💙

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported the programme, our coaches, volunteers and our senior players who have helped along the way and pur amazing parents.

10 weeks. Lots of learning. Plenty of laughs. And a whole lot of softball. 🥎💙

🧡 **ORANGE SHIRT UMPIRE PROGRAMME** 🧡

Are you interested in learning more about **umpiring** and becoming involved in the game in a new way?

The North Harbour Softball **Orange Shirt Umpire Programme** is starting soon, with **online presentations beginning Monday, 28 September**.

This programme is a great opportunity for **members, parents, players, and anyone interested in umpiring** to learn what’s involved and take their first steps towards becoming a umpire.

Those who are interested and enrol in the programme will receive a **Pre-Reading Book** outlining:
🏐 What is expected of novice umpires
📚 Training and support available
👕 What equipment is available and required
🤝 Guidance to help you get started and build confidence

If you’ve ever thought about giving umpiring a go, **this is a great place to start!**
