Gather your friends, colleagues, clients, club members, or supporters and join us for a fantastic day of golf, networking, and community spirit, all while helping support the next generation of rugby talent across our region.

The Brian (BJ) Lochore Rugby Foundation is committed to developing players, coaches, referees, and volunteers by helping remove financial barriers and creating opportunities for growth and success. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation has already provided more than $10,000 in grants to individuals within our rugby community.

A sincere apology to our wider community

We want to sincerely apologise for a mistake in our post earlier.

While we are extremely proud of Inia and his outstanding achievement today, we got an important detail wrong. Inia does not hold the record for the most caps for Wairarapa Bush.

That incredible honour belongs to Gary McGlashan, with 132 caps— a remarkable achievement that deserves the recognition and respect it has earned.

We are genuinely sorry for the error and for any offence or disappointment it may have caused, particularly to Gary, his family, teammates, and the wider Wairarapa Bush rugby community.

We should have checked our facts more carefully, and we take full responsibility for getting this wrong.

Today is still a wonderful day to celebrate Inia’s 117th game, while also acknowledging the incredible legacy of those who have come before him.

Congratulations to Inia, and a huge salute to Gary McGlashan — 132 caps is an extraordinary contribution to Wairarapa Bush rugby.

Thank you to our community for holding us accountable and for your understanding.

WAIRARAPA BUSH GOOD EGGS OF THE WEEK!

Congratulations to our three Good Eggs of the week -
Archie Bennett, Malakai Biumaiwai & Fiula Tameilau

Week 1
Archie Bennett has been a great addition to the Bush environment. After a strong club season for East Coast, Archie has transferred that form into our Heartland campaign, making his debut against Mid Canterbury. More importantly, he’s really bought into the culture and is contributing both on and off the field.

Week 2
Mala Biumaiwai put in a huge shift against Mid Canterbury - 24 carries and a try - showing he’s working hard to get back to his best. We’re a better team when the X-factor of the Biumaiwai brothers is on show, and Mala’s unparalleled effort was there for everyone to see.

Week 3
Fiula Tameilau - a great example of putting the team first.
Fiula has been working hard, doing whatever is asked of him and stepping up to play out of position when the team has needed him.
No complaints. No arguments. No fuss. Just getting on with the job and doing what’s best for the team. That selfless attitude and willingness to put the team before yourself is exactly what being a Bush Good Egg is all about.
