🙏 💕 THANK YOU to everyone who completed the Carterton Indoor Community Pool survey in preparation for the Wairarapa Spaces and Places Plan workshop. We were blown away with the 222 responses that we received in just over a week and will publish the results on our website in the next week or so at: https://www.cartertonpool.co.nz/ . This information tells an incredible story about the support you the community have for this vital wee pool. Thank you!

🩷 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏊. Almost 40 years ago the Carterton Indoor Community Pool was built by the community to provide somewhere for kids to learn to swim and to enjoy competing each other and themselves. So good to see that four decades later Carterton Swimming Club kids are still having fun 😀. Contact [email protected] to take part in next month's club night.

Have you or your children ever used the Carterton Indoor Community Pool?

THANK YOU to the 70+ people who have already responded. We're so stoked to see such a positive response from you - the Wairarapa community.

We're still seeking feedback - BEFORE THE END OF THIS LABOUR WEEKEND - in time to bring your feedback to a very important workshop being held next week that will shape the Wairarapa Spaces and Places Network Plan.

Over 500 people use the pool every week from the following districts: Carterton (254); South Wairarapa (191); Masterton (71); and Tararua (2). The majority (451) of pool users are tamariki and rangatahi. (June 2026 figs)

This is the only indoor pool in the Southern Wairarapa. It's vital that this pool is part of the Plan!

🏊‍♀️🫶🏊💕🏊🏽‍♂️ HAVE YOUR SAY! How important is the Carterton Indoor Community Pool to the Wairarapa community?

Nuku Ora are currently developing a Wairarapa Sport and Recreation Spaces and Places Network Plan to help guide future planning and investment in sport and recreation facilities and spaces across Masterton, Carterton and South Wairarapa. Workshops are being held on Tuesday 27 October (Masterton), Wednesday 28 October (South Wairarapa & Carterton), hence the tight deadline.

The Carterton Indoor Community Pool Project Team invites you to share why the pool matters to the Wairarapa community. With a tight deadline, we would love you to get back to us by MONDAY 26 OCTOBER.
