Waikato Touch 40s Men's Representative Team 2026-27
Waikato Touch is pleased to announce the appointment of Mohi Rua and Demarius Heu as Co-Coaches of the Waikato 40s Men's representative team for the upcoming campaign.

To assist with planning around upcoming representative commitments and the start of the module season, trials for the Waikato 40s Men's team will be held at Ngฤ Taiฤtea Wharekura on the following dates:

๐Ÿ“… Trial 1: Sunday 20 September, 2.00pm-4.00pm

๐Ÿ“… Trial 2 (if required): Sunday 27 September, 2.00pm-4.00pm

๐Ÿ“… Team Announcement: Wednesday 30 September

The earlier trial and selection process reflects the participation of several Waikato representatives, including members of the coaching group, at the Asia Pacific Cup in Japan (5-11 October), and ensures the team is selected prior to the commencement of modules in early October.

Players wishing to be considered for selection must register using the following link:
๐Ÿ”— https://waikatotouch.co.nz/representative/u21s-opens-and-masters-nationals-representatives

Further information regarding venues and programme details will be confirmed through Waikato Touch communication channels in due course. We encourage all eligible players to register and look forward to another strong Waikato 40 Mens campaign.

What an awesome day at the Halberg All Abilities Day in Te Awamutu! ๐Ÿ‰
On Tuesday, 4th August, we had the privilege of introducing Turbo Touch, our modified inside version of Touch, to an incredible group of participants. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, building confidence, learning new skills, and most importantly, having fun!

We're grateful to have been part of this initiative throughout Term 2 and Term 3, helping create inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities to experience Touch.

A huge thank you to Ollie from Te Awamutu Sports and Lawrence from Halberg for providing these opportunities to bring Touch to everyone. We also want to give a special shout out to the amazing Te Awamutu College students who volunteered their time to help facilitate the sessions. You were fantastic role models and made a real difference on the day. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
