🎉 National Volunteer Week 🎉

We would like to celebrate and thank our team of incredible judges who give their time, energy, and expertise to support our gymnastics community.

We are so lucky to have 15 dedicated judges in our club: Rhythmic - Kenna, Kaylene, Tina and Jennifer and WAG - Karen, Holly, Abbey, Jessie, Hope, Anastasia, Haidee, Sarah, Candice, Ruby, and Chloe.

From ensuring fair and accurate scoring to supporting our athletes and upholding the standards of our sport, your role is vital at every competition.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all gymnastics judges across the wider community for the time and dedication you give to the sport. A special thank you to Denise for mentoring our new WAG judges this year.

Herman is our sports chaplain who supports the committee and coaches with pastoral care and wellbeing. He brings a calm, considered presence and is someone we trust as a safe pair of hands for confidential conversations. It has been fantastic to have Herman’s support over the past couple of years. 🎉Celebrating Naational Volunteer Week🎉

Margaret came back on to our radar when she attended our 70th anniversary in 2023. Since then Margie has played a pivotal role in reconnecting the club with our amazing alumni. She has worked with our founding members to create a cultural policy. This document contains all of the cultural elements required to keep us focused on the club we were always founded to be! In addition to this Margie is in the process of writing a book about the first 70 years of our club. A special element of T&GC is the richness of our history and we celebrate Margie’s help in this very important work!

🎉Celebrating National Volunteer Week 🎉

Belinda has been a member of our committee for a few years. Belinda brings strategic HR support to the club as well as making sure we are focused on what our team need to be successful in their roles. Belinda has guided the committee through a process where we have been able to create clarity on what our team will look like as we move through our transformation towards our new facility so that the club is sustainable in the future. We think Belinda is a volunteer we should all celebrate!

🎉Celebrating National Volunteer week🎉

Nicola is our grant funding magician. She puts together grant applications that speak to the capability and culture of T&GC. So far Nicola has secured $345,000 of grants towards our new facility as well as being a long serving and focused committee member. We think Nicola is worth celebrating this week!

🌟 What an exceptional weekend for our Step 1–4 gymnasts in Tauranga! 🌟

A special shout-out to our Step 1 athletes competing for the first time, where they showed great composure and confidence, achieving outstanding results. Congratulations to coaches Anastasia and Hope, who are leading the Step 1 group for the first time this year – their hard work and dedication have clearly prepared these athletes well.

A standout performance came from Step 1 gymnast April Jones, who achieved an incredible 57.416 all-around score in her competition debut – a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of her commitment and effort. ⭐️

🎉 This week is National Volunteer Week! 🎉
At Turn and Gymnastic Circle, we are proud to support National Volunteer Week and celebrate the amazing people who give their time and energy to our club.
We are incredibly fortunate to have dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes to help keep our club running smoothly and provide opportunities for all of our members to learn, grow, and succeed.
A huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time, skills, and support throughout the year. Your contribution makes a real difference, and our club simply wouldn't be the same without you.

Our Step 5–7 gymnasts travelled to Counties, Auckland for their second competition of the season this weekend and came away with some fantastic results!

Congratulations to our podium finishers:

🥈 Zoey Jackson – 2nd Overall Step 6 Overs
🥇 Clara Chie – 1st Overall Step 7 Overs
