🚨 Practice Saturday 🚨

Practice in your own class, there are to be no mixing of classes
Practice sessions are 10 minutes from the time the FIRST kart of the practice session leaves the grid
Please respect the track and facilities, if you come off track and hit bags etc please ensure they are back in their original position for the next drivers safety

🚨 Practice this Saturday and our Club Day Sunday is the last opportunity for Kartstars members to do laps at our track before Round 4 of the Kartstars series 🚨

Race Format:
🔁 Long Track, normal direction
🎲 Pre Determined Grids

- Please remember to enter for practice before you arrive at the track

🚨 All Karting New Zealand licenses expire tonight 🚨

If you are a current Karting NZ License Holder (Competition or Practice) you would have received a pre populated form

You will have received an email with a link to renew for the 2026/2027 year.

Use this – it is an auto-renewal. You won’t have to wait for the KSNZ office to process.

DO NOT use a ‘blank’ form.

If you do this your historical licence number is GONE 😞

NOTE – if you have held both a Practice & Competition Licence in the 2025/2026 year you will receive two links – one for each.

Make sure you use the correct one you want.

If you have a Practice but want to upgrade to Competition for this coming year you will have to use a blank form.

A Reminder About Practice at Our Track 🏁

After visiting the track following this past weekend’s practice, it’s unfortunately clear that some of the hard work our volunteers have put into maintaining and improving our facility has been undone.

A few important reminders for everyone using the track:

🔧 Kerb hopping — excessive kerb hopping has damaged the work recently completed on our new kerbs, as well as the grass repairs around the track.

🛞 Crash bags — we have found crash bags that have been hit, moved and not reinstated. This creates a potential safety hazard for the next person using the facility. If you move or hit a crash bag, please put it back where it belongs.

🏎️ Mixing of classes — this has also been identified during practice. This is not based on rumours or hearsay; it has been highlighted through our track and grid cameras.

When you practice at KartSport Hamilton, you sign up and agree to follow the practice requirements. A reminder that:
You sign up and agree to only practice in your racing class

We operate our practice sessions in a high-trust environment, and we want to continue being able to provide that opportunity to our members.

Please be mindful of how you and your drivers use the facility. A huge amount of time, effort and volunteer work goes into keeping our track safe and maintained for everyone to enjoy.

Let’s all do our part to respect the facility, the volunteers who maintain it, and the next person who comes out to practice.
