Hamilton City Netball Centre Hamilton City Netball Centre provides grassroots netball from Minogue Park in Hamilton

Hamilton City Netball Centre for 30+ years has been located at Minogue Park in Forest Lake, Hamilton. Grassroots netball is provided to 5500+ members from primary school age through to adults. In season over 270 games of netball are played over 5 days each week on 21 courts. Programmes are delivered to the community in the form of Skill Sessions, Development Camps, Holiday Programmes and Coach and

Umpire education. There are opportunities and programmes for players, coaches, managers, umpires, officials and volunteers to grow and develop in both social and competitive environments. In 2021 nine teams represented the Centre with the U18 team placing 3rd in the Netball NZ U18 Champs. Many players, umpires and officials have been selected for regional and national squads and teams. Management and administration is provided by a small team of 5 staff members supported by a Board and approximately 40 volunteers. The Hamilton City Netball Centre is affliated to Netball New Zealand and is part of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone

Introduction to Umpiring (ITU) is the first step to becoming an umpire.

Whether you want to join the Netball NZ umpiring pathway, umpire your local school team or you are a player, parent or spectator who wants to increase their game knowledge, you are welcome to attend one of the next ITU courses.

Course 4 - Wednesday, 10th June 2026 AND Wednesday, 17th June 2026 Start 6pm - Finish 8pm (on both nights)
OR
Course 5 – Thursday, 2nd July 2026 Start 9am - Finish 2pm
OR
Course 6 – Friday, 31st July 2026 Start 9am - Finish 2pm
OR
Course 7 – Monday, 20th July 2026 AND Monday, 10th August 2026 Start 6pm - Finish 8pm (on both nights)

🩷 Teams are encouraged to wear pink — think hair ties, socks, ribbons, or anything pink!
🩷 Supporters are encouraged to join in too — wear pink T-shirts, wigs, glasses, or your favourite pink accessories.
🩷 Get creative and make your own PVO (Positive Vibes Only) signs.
🩷 Take the time to thank our umpires and volunteers for all they do.
🩷 Share words of encouragement and positive messages with players, coaches, officials, and supporters.
