The science behind the fun... 🧠⚡️
Playing team sports on a smaller scale is the perfect environment to improve your physical and mental skills. The smaller team sizes give each member more time in action and under pressure, causing your brain to be constantly processing, improving your reaction speed and decision-making quality.

A study on futsal specifically found that players had approximately six times more touches on the ball than in a traditional game. This led to a 43% faster improvement in ball handling, 0.3 second faster reaction time to high-pressure scenarios, and 27% better opponent anticipation.

So not only are small team formats (subjectively) more fun, they're also incredibly beneficial to improving as a player! Whether you play netball, football, cricket, or something else entirely, small-sided formats are essential to your development.
