Congratulations to 4 wāhine setting a world record in shearing!

🌍 World record set! Pagan Rimene and her teammates have made history, shearing an incredible 1,938 strongwool lambs in eight hours at Melrose Station near Owaka.

🐑 Elite performance: Three of the four averaged under a minute per lamb, in a category where no previous women’s record existed.

💪 Proud Central Otago moment: Master Woolhandler and 2019 World Teams Champion Pagan contributed 481 lambs, continuing a remarkable multi-generational shearing legacy.

HIGHLIGHTS CLYDE CLASSIC
Congratulations Tom Heath, Clyde School & helpers on launching the Classic this morning - 21km, 10km & 5km & 3.5km school run around Clyde today. It was a characterised by a long registration line, lots of people, families coffees & ice creams being shared - as well as hugs!
