Ardmore Motocross Track

Ardmore Motocross Track The Ardmore MX Track is an Auckland Motocross Track that everyone is welcome to come ride for fun on practice days or race the WILDMAN Series.

Open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10am till 4pm
Practice every Wednesday; winter 2 pm - 6 pm, Summer 3 pm - 7 pm.

We power harrowed the track for two days to create perfect loam for the Wildman at Ardmore tomorrow Sunday 6th September. The gates will be open at 9 am with sign on through until 10 am followed by briefing and then practice until 11 am with racing until 2 pm. The track will stay open after racing for practice until 4 pm. The forecast is looking good for tomorrow with light rain later in the evening.

The next round of the Wildman is on at Ardmore this Sunday 6th September from 10 am until 4 pm. The forecast is looking perfect for Sunday with some rain overnight on Friday softening up the ground for power harrowing another long new circuit on Saturday.

THE WILDMAN ROUND 6 RACE REPORT

Mattias Fridh holeshot the main event grabbing an early lead in the Wildman at Round 6 with Blake Gillard in 2nd, Charles Durrant 3rd, Sam Stevens 4th, Richard Sutton 5th and Rhys Millington 6th leading Toby Summers, Connor Walworth,, Craig Taylor, Dylan Martin, Mark Collier, Andy Main, Logan Welch, Rhys Statham, Alister Kuypers, Jay Bodinner, Michael Kuypers and Kim Chetham. Blake took the lead on his SXF450 on lap 2 with Triumph TF450RC mounted Richard Sutton charging through from 5th to 3rd behind CRF450 mounted Mattias Fridh. Toby Summers was through to 6th on a YZ250 behind Sam Stevens in 5th on his YZF250 followed by Connor Walworth who passed KXF450 mounted Rhys Millington to take 7th while Logan Welch took his KXF250 through to 12th behind SXF450 mounted Mark Collier. Logan passed Mark Collier the following lap to move into 11th while Toby Summers passed Sam Stevens to take 5th behind CRF450 mounted Charles Durrant. Toby passed Charles for 4th on lap 4 with Richard Sutton passing Mattias Fridh to move into 2nd on the TF450RC. Alister and Michael Kuypers both passed KXF250 mounted Andy Main with Alister moving into 14th on his YZF250 and Michael 15th on his KXF450.
Toby Summers passed Mattias Fridh for 3rd on lap 5 with Sam Stevens moving into 4th after passing Charles Durrant. Dylan Martin moved up to 9th on his SXF250 with Logan Welch taking 10th after passing Craig Taylor now in 11th leading a tight pack with Mark Collier, Rhys Statham, Alister Kuypers, Michael Kuypers and Jay Bodinner all chasing the KTM rider. Alister and Michael Kuypers passed Logan Welch after he made a mistake on the corner before the drop off into the tree sectio which also caught out Rhys Statham allowing Jay Bodinner through. Rhys passed Jay back the next lap with Michael Kuypers passing Alister Kuypers to move into 11th behind Craig Taylor. Michael passed Craig for 10th on lap 8 with Craig now leading Alister Kuypers, Logan Welch, Rhys Statham, Jay Bodinner, Tom Keith on his KXF250, MC300 mounted Winston Byblow and Kim Chetham on her SXF250. Dylan Martin moved up to 8th on his SXF250 behind YZF450 mounted Connor Walworth in 7th on lap 9, finally managing to make a pass on Rhys Millington who had been solid in 8th for most of the moto. Michael Kuypers also made the pass taking 9th while Logan Welch passed Alister Kuypers for 12th behind Craig Taylor in 11th and Rhys Millington now in 10th. Rhys Statham passed Logan Welch the next lap to move into 12th while Dylan Martin passed Connor Walworth for 7th behind Charles Durrant and Mattias Fridh in 5th. Rhys Statham passed Craig Taylor on lap 11 breaking into the tight pack being led by Rhys Millington with Rhys now 11th, Craig 12th, Logan 13th, Alister 14th, Mark Collier 15th and Winston Byblow now 15th after passing Tom Keith.
Blake Gillard had a solid lead by lap 12 with Richard Sutton in 2nd chasing him through the pack, Toby Summers 3rd leading Sam Stevens, Mattias Fridh and Charles Durrant. Michael Kuypers passed Connor Walworth to move into 8th with Rhys Statham through to 10th then 9th the following lap. A mistake on lap 15 dropped Dylan Martin from his hard fought 7th place back to 9th with Michael Kuypers now in 7th and Rhys Statham 8th. Mark Collier passed Logan Welch on lap 17 to move into 12th behind Craig Taylor and Rhys Millington in 10th. The pack stayed tight right to the finish with the white flag coming out on lap 19 when a mistake of the switchback section allowed Craig Taylor to pass Rhys Millington for 10th with Mark Collier chasing Craig across the line for 11th, Rhys recovering to take 12th ahead of Logan Welch, Connor Walworth, Kim Chetham, Andy Main and Kelly Diprose on his YZ125. On lap 20 Blake Gillard took the chequered flag and the moto win on his KTM SXF450 leading Triumph TF450RC mounted Richard Sutton across the line with Toby Summers in 3rd on his YZ250 Yamaha, Sam Stevens 4th on his YZF250, Mattias Fridh and Charles Durrant in 5th and 6th on their CRF450s, Michael Kuypers 7th on his first ride back on his KXF450 after a shoulder operation, Rhys Statham 8th, Dylan Martin 9th and Craig Taylor 10th all on KTM SXF250s.
