“I have been a student of John’s for coming up four years now after arriving back from Germany I wanted to make the move from Gisborne to Auckland for better training and coaching opportunities. We were recommended john and so I moved to his at 17 and soon after that I got Bart ( Double j barman) who john helped me get going really well and with placings upto junior rider level.

Now fast forward a few years John has helped me find my new horse Merlin who is a 8 year old Belgian warmblood who I adore and John has been a great help with him and getting us going together as a team and also on training Merlin as he is still green.

My favourite thing about John’s is that it he is super invested in his students and will always be there to support you. He has so much knowledge that you can not get much of these days. I really love how it’s feels like a second home at John’s and John and jackie are always welcoming and supportive with everything.

I love how John focuses on the basics and isn’t afraid to tell you how it is Also how he still shows up and can get on and demonstrate on our horses.”
