Absolute Minta of a day at AMCC Round 2 with Honda Motul Racing NZ HondaBikesNZ

Photos - Morgy bear

4 wins from 4 races with a mega lap in qualifying to secure pole position by a convincing margin.

New personal best lap times 2 seconds a lap faster than Round 1 and a very well dialled in bike to match.

The whole team have been working super hard in the background, especially the Tony and Mitch from Team Rees, both with keeping the bikes in top shape as well as imparting their many years of wisdom and knowledge onto us.

Props too to Harriet, it was her first time racing the 650 up in the north island and her times were decimating my times from Round 1, it’s amazing to see her quick progression adapting to the big 650 Sportbike.

As always, thanks for the sponsors and supporters, can’t wait to out on the bike again! 😁

Back at the track and on form with Honda Motul Racing NZ HondaBikesNZ

The Bridgestone Moto NZ tyres fired up and got us on pace straight away, had to contend with some traffic, but we’re looking good!

Bike night Thursdays with Ferg Maynes Racing and Xavier

The theme for tonight is - Hondas!

First half of complete, and a pretty decent trophy haul! To be honest, given I was on a SS300 in round 1, a Pro Twin in round 2 and a Sportbike in round 3, I wasn’t expecting a single top 3 overall in any class, let alone 3!!!

Super stoked with the event and organisation that’s gone on behind the scenes to make this cup happen, really excited to continue with the second half of the North Island Cup at AMCC round 1 in September!

P3 - Pro Twin
P3 - F3
P3 - Intermediate
