Anyone in NZ got a Fox 36 TALAS 1,2,3 or 4 (not 5 though) they want serviced free? We need to check seal sizes so a free service works for everyone.

For your viewing pleasure, some old-school Fox shocks. These were all serviced by Shockcraft in the last week. 4 minutes one take with a quick run-down of each.

Fox Vanilla X. Fox Float L Trunnion, Float RL Trunnion, Fox RP23 and Fox CTD Evo shocks.

Despite their age we still service all of them. Air seals, oil seals and in many cases shock bodies and shafts are still available. Because everyone loves to keep their classics rolling. Even wall ornaments need to be oil tight!

Ladies and Gentlemen. We have a unicorn. Possibly the only Fox CTD compression damper that is still in one piece at 12 years old!

These were pressed together at the factory and that grunty little coil spring spends it's whole time trying to push the light alloy piston back off it's shaft. This is the first one we've seen in about 8 years that is still together. It hasn't been ridden much at all.

If they come apart the compression adjuster stops working and gets pulled down against the fork crown. The ones that come apart. Sometimes we can bond them back together, sometimes the piston is broken and munched everything. Then We replace them with FIT dampers. Which also worked better and stay in one piece.

Linger & Die XC is on for next month with new owners and new energy. MTB or Trail Run at Matangi Station 19th September.
Shockcraft are in full support. There are two "Shockcraft Technical Terrain" downhill sections in the MTB race: Greenhorn and Fabiens (in this video).

This descent is a timed section from Fabiens to the bottom of Rock Garden. We will create a Shockcraft Strava segment which will be checked at prize giving to judge who was the fastest descender! To be eligible please tag Linger & Die into your Strava ride for that day.

Who doesn't love Formula Student racing? Engineering students getting to build and rip around in their own little race cars. These guys use MTB suspension, on this one Fox Float X2 shocks on each corner.

We helped Sam from the team with dyno data for the specific tunes they were using so they could run off-track simulations and better understand their suspension.

They were so stoked they put our Shockcraft logo on their car. Great job guys.
