🌍 It's World Environment Day and we want to show you the impact of urban greening! 🌱
Let's take a look at how this parking garage contributes to our environment.

Trees contribute to air purification, and so do all other plants. 1 tree absorbs an average of 25 kg of CO₂ per year. 1 m² of living wall absorbs 2.3 kg CO₂ per year. With over 700 m² of plants on this parking garage, 1600 kg of CO₂ is absorbed per year.

The installation of this green wall is equivalent to planting about 65 trees. So, in places where there is little room for trees, the green wall is an excellent alternative. 🌿

A commitment to achieving sustainable balance in the Wadden Sea region! 🦭
WEC, The World Heritage Center in Lauwersoog has been installed with a circular roof garden where nature, sustainability and education come together.

The challenge was to find a solution that was not only circular and climate-resilient but also contributed to education and the experience of nature. In collaboration with Tuinland we made this possible. 🌿

As a partner and friend of the World Heritage Centre Wadden Sea, we are proud that this roof has become a green meeting place overlooking the unique World Heritage landscape.

Nu de bouw van tienduizenden woningen in Nederland vertraging oploopt, groeit de druk op de ambitie om jaarlijks 100.000 woningen te realiseren. Stikstof en netcongestie vormen daarbij de grootste obstakels, waardoor renovatie en transformatie belangrijker worden dan ooit.

Door bestaande gebouwen slimmer te benutten en te vergroenen, ontstaat ruimte voor directe impact, zonder te wachten op nieuwe bouwprojecten. 🌿

Met groene daken en gevels verandert de gebouwschil van passief naar actief: water wordt vastgehouden, hitte wordt verminderd en biodiversiteit krijgt weer een plek in de stad. Zo wordt renovatie niet alleen een noodzaak, maar een kans om steden toekomstbestendig te maken. 💪
