Day 3 of our Instructor Training Course is complete — and today was all about Confined Water Teaching Presentations 💦

What a day!
Alba, Alessia, Camila, Giovanni, Katja, and Mike absolutely nailed their presentations on the first attempt (that doesn’t happen often!). To top it off, Sebastian — working toward Assistant Instructor Trainer — raised the bar even higher with an outstanding performance.

Energy, confidence, and growth all around. Tomorrow we head back to the classroom for the next round: Academic Teaching Presentations 📚

Huge congratulations to Federico, Lars, Nicolas, Shamaan & Yiwan on becoming SSI Open Water Instructors. The last two weeks have been fantastic, full of hardwork, dedication and teamwork and passing the Instructor Evaluation with flying colours is the least you all deserved! Well done!

Thank you our first IE together and I hope the first of many.

The next ITC in the Maldives is now full, so if you want to join me here it will now be in November 2026… for those that cannot wait that long, I start my Gozo (Malta) ITCs in March, so join me then!

Getting down to the last few days of January’s ITC and the candidates are smashing it - here Yiwan is delivering an almost perfect - if not a touch long 😂😅 - Academic Teaching Presentation on everyone’s favourite: Gas Laws Pertaining to Divers.

If you’ve never been to the Maldives, this honestly is one of the best places in the world to complete your ITC: next and last ITC until November starts on 13th February… still two places left :)

First ITC in 2026 and we’re kicking it off on the beautiful island of Ukulhas, in the Maldives 🇲🇻 What a dream location!

Looking forward to working with Fede, Lars, Nicolas, Shamaan, Yiwan during this ITC and cannot wait to see them become instructors in 14 days time.
