🏆 A night to celebrate tennis and padel at Marsa Sports Club.

Our Majjalata Presentation Night brought players, members and friends together for an evening of food, music and, most importantly, recognition of the players who made some of this year’s competitions so memorable.

Presentations were held for the:

Cisk 0.0 Clay Court Team Tournament
Perrier Doubles League
Sure Padel League

Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up, and a big thank you to every player who took part across the different competitions.

Padel forms part of the action at MSC BeActive 2026 with a Mixed Tournament split into two playing levels:

B Category – Intermediate players
C Category – High beginners

The format is designed to give players a competitive event suited to their level, with both categories played during the day at Marsa Sports Club.

Registrations are still open for the Kinder Kids Tennis Sunday Coaching programme at Marsa Sports Club, organised by the Tennis & Padel Section together with Asciak Tennis Academy.

The programme is open to children aged 3 to 16 and runs across 15 weeks of coaching.

Investing in the Future of Our Tennis Courts

The Tennis & Padel Section Committee is committed to continuously improving our facilities and ensuring that Members enjoy the best possible playing experience.

As part of this ongoing commitment, a detailed assessment of the tennis court surfaces on Courts 1 to 10 was carried out yesterday.

The testing included moisture and damp assessments, together with core sampling where required, to provide a clearer understanding of the current condition of the courts. The results will help determine the most appropriate works required and identify the most suitable paint system and application method for the surfaces.

The courts were closed for the morning only while the testing was carried out and have since reopened as normal.

This assessment is an important step in planning the future maintenance and improvement of our tennis facilities.

We will keep members informed as the assessment progresses and share further information regarding any maintenance and improvement works that may subsequently be undertaken.

Two very different tennis challenges. One full day at Marsa Sports Club.

Clay Court Singles Tournament
Played on Court 11, with players divided into four groups: Men A, Men B, Ladies A and Ladies B. Each player will play four matches, with Match Tie-Breaks to 10 keeping the format fast and competitive.

One Point Challenge
One point. That’s it.

A sudden-death mixed knockout on Court 19, where every match is decided by a single point. A coin toss determines who serves or receives, and the pressure starts immediately.

🎾 Mazda Robbie Scerri Tennis Team Tournament 2026

The Mazda Robbie Scerri Tennis Team Tournament 2026 will bring together 8 teams for a multi-week doubles competition played across selected Saturday afternoons at Marsa Sports Club.

Each team will compete through a round-robin group stage before moving into the Main Draw or Plate, with all 8 teams playing on Final Day.

Matches will feature:
Men’s Doubles
Ladies’ Doubles
Mixed Doubles

📅 Tournament dates: 17 October, 7, 14, 21 & 28 November
🕑 Matches from 2:00pm
💶 Entry fee: €20
👤 Open to paid-up Tennis & Padel Section members
