MANTRA OF THE MONTH: SO HUM

Meaning: I am that.

One of the most ancient and widely used mantras in yoga, So Hum reminds us that we are not separate from life, we are part of it. The same breath that moves through you moves through every living thing.

☯️ A simple 1-minute practice:

Close your eyes.

As you inhale, silently repeat:
So

As you exhale, silently repeat:
Hum

Allow your breath to become your anchor.
Just breathing.
Just being.

Many people come to yoga thinking they need to become more flexible.

But often, what the body is truly asking for is safety, rest, and space to breathe again.

Modern life keeps us constantly stimulated, rushing, thinking, reacting, holding tension without even noticing it. Over time, the body forgets what calm feels like. Yoga invites us back into connection: with the breath, with the body, and with the present moment.

And science is now confirming what yoga traditions have taught for centuries: regular yoga practice can support stress reduction and help regulate the nervous system.

Not because yoga makes life perfect,
but because it teaches us how to move through life differently.

Weekend of learning, sunshine, and beautiful company.

I’m deepening my studies for yoga, now exploring the nervous, respiratory, and lymphatic systems with the wonderful teacher .yoga
who shared her knowledge with so much care and clarity.

Grateful for this group, the sunshine, and the sense of . After returning from India, it was a weekend I could not have asked more from.🙏

On this International Women's Day, a gentle note to honour the feminine energy within all of us, the ability to listen, rest, nurture, and respect our own rhythm, and the rhythm of others.

May all beings be happy and healthy.
