Celebrating Leadership, Community and Opportunity๐โญ
๐ง๐ฟ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ officially kicked off its Female Leadership Programme at Affidea Stadium on Saturday 9th May, bringing together women from across the province who are passionate about growing and strengthening the women's and girls' game.
The day featured the programme's first leadership course, followed by a fantastic networking session with members of Ulster Rugby's Women & Girls Committee and women holding leadership roles in rugby clubs throughout Ulster. The energy, ideas and ambition in the room were truly inspiring๐
๐ง๐ฟ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ is a collaborative initiative led by VRFC, dedicated to increasing female participation at every level of rugby โ from playing, coaching and refereeing to leadership and youth development. Through education, mentoring and networking opportunities, the programme is helping to create stronger pathways and greater confidence for women and girls across the game.
And at the heart of it all is the absolute driving force behind the programme, ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ป ๐ ๐ฐ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฟ๏ธ๐ค
Helen's vision, dedication and tireless commitment to developing opportunities for women and girls in rugby have made ๐ง๐ฟ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ a reality. Her passion for creating inclusive environments, supporting future leaders and championing female participation continues to make a lasting impact both within our club and across the wider rugby community๐
We've been incredibly fortunate to have Helen leading the way and inspiring the next generation to step forward, get involved and realise their potential๐ช
