Rugby season is officially back! 🏉🔥

We are thrilled to kick off the 2026/2027 season this Saturday as our Virginia Men 1XV take on Monaghan Men 1XV.

We are delighted to announce that Cabra Cars Nissan has generously sponsored a vehicle for Jon to use in his day-to-day role as our Club Community Rugby Officer.

Get ready for an electric start to the season as Virginia R.F.C. takes on Monaghan R.F.C. at home in Championship 3!

🚨 IMPORTANT PARKING NOTICE 🚨

Virginia RFC car park will be closed this Saturday 12th September from 12pm due to a Rugby event.

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️Access to forest by foot only.

We are at the start of our exciting new build, on-site parking has been significantly reduced. To keep things running smoothly for everyone, please keep the following in mind:

⚠️Car Park Etiquette: Please be mindful when using the car park, pay attention to the parking cones, and do not block entrances to homes or exits.
⚠️Patience & Kindness: We ask for your patience, kindness, and understanding during this development process.
⚠️Main Road Parking: If you are parking on the main road, please exercise extra caution and be mindful of pedestrians, and not block neighbouring entrances or any parking on grasses.

🏉 Celebrating Our Youth Players of the Year! 🌟

Huge congratulations to Ayrton Pienaar and Caitlìn Crowe on being named Ulster Youth Players of the Year! 🎉

It was a proud day at the club as our President Douglas Kinkade, Vice President Fergal Brady, coaches, and families gathered to celebrate their incredible hard work, dedication, and standout performances on the pitch.

Ayrton Pienaar: Honoured as Ulster Youth Player of the Year, joined by his family, coaches, and club officers. Ayrton was presented with his playing jersey from his coaches.

Caitlin Crowe: Honored as Ulster Youth Player. Recognized for her brilliant achievements, including receiving her framed memories with VRFC and proudly handing over her Ireland U16s Six Nations playing jersey to Honorary Life President Malachy McNally.

Thank you both for representing Virginia RFC so brilliantly. We are immensely proud of everything you’ve accomplished and look forward to cheering you on in the next chapter of your rugby journeys! ⚫️⚪️

As a new season gets underway, we want to share important updates regarding our match fixtures and schedule for the upcoming months!

Stay Connected: All official communication for fixtures will be handled directly via Clubspot and our official social media channels. Be sure to keep your notifications turned on so you never miss a match update.
Schedule Changes: Please note that games may occasionally be rescheduled due to weather, pitch conditions, or league adjustments. In any such case, all members will be notified promptly.
