Breaking News !!
The Dirty Sanchez Cup is back 🔴 🟢

The 2026 edition is being played in Bawn outdoor courts on June 27th and for the first time ever will be played as a doubles competition 🤚🔵

Format :
Top seeded players will randomly draw out a lower seeded player as their doubles partners on the morning of the tournament.

Round robin format with the eventual finalists taking home the cash prizes and the all important Dirty Sanchez Cup 🏆

Their will also be a food truck available on the day and who knows maybe even a few beverages 😎

Entry is open to all levels (Boys and girls), whether you are the goat at one wall handball or a slow moving pony, we will accept all grades of players🐴

Entry fee is €15 but don’t delay as there is limited spaces available.

So get yo bags and come on down to Bawn on the 27th June for what promises to be the tournament of the year !! 🇲🇽

Latton Family mark 25 year Anniversary

Christina Weldon along with her 2 daughters Abbie & Katie will take part in next Sundays VHI women’s mini marathon to mark 25 since tragic passing of Christina’s sister Catherine , her nephew Wayne and Niece Shauna along with Jamie & Garry Curtis following an accident at Swanns Cross Co Monaghan . The accident occurred on 24th July 2001 but the Weldon ladies have chosen the Mini Marathon so as to raise funds for the Irish Road Victims Association. A national charity who provides aid in the direct aftermath of a road accident be it a fatality or a serious injury .
The ladies have been overwhelmed by the support received raising over €7,000 to date , however if you would like to donate and haven’t had a chance they would be delighted to receive your support .

Gavin coyle gonna run a session later at the outdoor one walls in bawn at 7pm for the craic.

Everyone welcome from experienced to brand new players, will go through rules of one wall and get a few games going.

Congratulations Sarah.

We recently nominated our Scor & Culture officer Saran Farmer for the community award at the Monaghan County Council Awards scheme .

Sarah has worked tirelessly to ensure that the Scor & Culture element of our club is
to the fore and active at all times. Sarah has organised many items the following to
name just a few

-Pop Up Gaeltacht at our GAA matches

-National Anthem singing workshops

-Events during Seachtain na gaeilge

-Organising & preparing all our participants for County Finals in numerous events.

Sarah’s enthusiasm for the development of Culture & Gaeilge in our club is to be
admired & appreciated and has shown brilliant results in last Number of years. Sarah
also has a total of 8 County Scor Medals herself in both Music Group & Ballad Group.

A true deserving recipient of the award we were proud to nominate.
