Ballyskenach AC 5k Road Race - Round 5 of the Healthy Offaly 5k Road Race series 2026
Date: Friday 29th May
*What time does the race start?*
The race will start at 8pm sharp with runners escorted to the new start line (700m from Roscrea Rugby Club) at 19:40pm
*Where does the race start and finish?*
The race starts 700m from the gate (of Roscrea Rugby club grounds) -Eircode E53 TN97 and finishes just 50m from the gate of Roscrea Rugby Club.
Where do I collect my race number?*
Race numbers can be collected at registration in Roscrea Rugby Club on the evening of the race from 6:30pm
Can I register on race day?
Yes, registration opens at 6:30pm on Friday evening. - but you can still register online until 3:30pm on Friday.

Registration on the day is โฌ20 for Seniors and โฌ10 for Juniors(16 - 19 years)
For Offaly club members that have already run in the 5k series in 2026, please bring your race number.
This will prevent delays having to pick up a new race number on the evening. A charge of โฌ2.30 will be charged for replacement.
*Where can I park?*
There will be ample free parking available on the grounds of Roscrea Rugby Club. To facilitate an efficient car parking system, please enter from the Roscrea/ Shinrone Road.
*Will the roads be closed?*
There will be road closures along the route that provide huge safety and comfort for our athletes, but please follow the instructions of the race marshals and be mindful that safety is paramount for all involved.
Water Station:
There will be water station at 2.5k and at the end of the race.
*Will the course be marked?*
The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way, and there will be markers at each kilometre.
*Are there toilets & showers available?*
Yes, there are toilets, changing rooms, and showers available on-site at Roscrea Rugby Club.
What prizes will be awarded?*
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
1st โฌ100; 2nd โฌ70; 3rd โฌ50 โ Male and Female
1st O40 - โฌ50; 1st O45 - โฌ50: 1st O50 - โฌ50; 1st O60 - โฌ50:, 1st O70 - โฌ50.
1st Junior โฌ30 (Male & Female).
*When and where will the presentations take place?*
The prize giving will take place at 9pm immediately after the race outside the Rugby Clubhouse.
If you are eligible for a prize, please stay after the race.
When will the results be available?*
Your result will be available straight away, at popupraces, Results and photos will also be found on the Ballyskenach AC page.
*Will there be post-race refreshments?*
Yes all race participants are welcome for tea/coffee and refreshments in Roscrea Rugby Club after the race.
