The community of Rhode has experienced more than its share of grief and suffering as a result of tragic losses due to mental health. Both Jigsaw Offaly and Rhode GAA are brilliant outlets and supports for us all in the battle against mental health issues and su***de.

This December 21st, 2 of the Rhode GAA senior footballers; Ruairi Mc Namee and Conor Mc Namee will complete 300km over 12 hours by cycling, skiing, rowing and running in 1 hour intervals to raise funds for both causes.

They are asking the community of Rhode and surrounding areas to come together and help them by participating for half hour or one hour time slots. Everyone’s individual distance will be totalled together with the aim of reaching the 100km target on the day.

This fundraiser means a lot to the lads as the loss of team members over the last few years has highlighted the importance of mental health supports within the county and the country.

To get involved you can:
1. Sponsor directly online via the iDonate page (link in bio).

2. Join the lads on the day to complete a half hour or 1 hour time slot on a bike, ski-erg, rower, walk or run.

3. If you are a business who is looking to get involved you can sponsor a leg of the event. Your business logo and description will be on show during the duration of that leg.

4. Share any social posts to help spread the word.

If you are looking to improve your fitness, strength and how you look and feel then sign up to our next intake for our 8 week strength and conditioning group training programme.

Places are limited and 4 have already been taken so be sure to get in touch and pay your deposit to secure your place.

Pre-test
- Body Composition Analysis
- Fitness Testing
- Strength Testing

- 8 week block of S&C classes (2 per week)

Myself, Ruairi and Shane will be completing all 12 workouts on the day. We hope to get 10-12 (depending on the workout) to join us and help us get over the line.

“The 12 Workouts of Christmas”

The community of Rhode has experienced more than its share of grief and suffering as a result of tragic losses due to mental health. Both Jigsaw Offaly and Rhode GAA are brilliant outlets and supports for us all in the battle against mental health issues and su***de.

This December 17th three of the Rhode GAA senior footballers; Shane Lowry, Ruairi Mc Namee and Conor Mc Namee will complete 12 different back-to-back workouts (The 12 Workouts of Christmas), to raise funds for both causes. The workouts will take 30 – 40 minutes to complete and will challenge all physical aspects.

This fundraiser means a lot to the lads as the loss of team members over the last few years has highlighted the importance of mental health supports within the county and the country.

To get involved you can:
1. Sponsor directly online via the iDonate page (link in bio).

2. Join the lads on the day to complete a workout with them and help raise funds (get in contact with any of the lads to book a time slot for a specific workout and receive your sponsorship card). The different workouts will be posted in the coming week.

3. If you are a business who is looking to get involved you can sponsor a workout. Your business logo and description will be on show during the duration of the workout.
