🔥 New Irish Temperature Record Possible?

🌡️ 35 or even 36°C Forecast!

The latest HARMONIE-DMI high-resolution model is forecasting exceptionally high temperatures across Ireland on Thursday.

Temperatures are forecast to widely reach the high 20s and low 30s, with parts of the Midlands and Mid-West potentially seeing 35°C or even 36°C.
These would easily beat the high temperature record of 33.3°C.

⛈️ There is also an increasing risk of severe thunderstorms developing later on Thursday and Thursday evening, as the intense heat and humidity begin to break down.

Temperatures are forecast to rise significantly from Sunday as very warm air pushes up from the south and high pressure builds around Ireland.

Max Temperatures per day

Saturday - 20°C
Sunday - 22°C
Monday - 27°C
Tuesday - 27°C

Max temps as per 12z evening ECMWF model on Wednesday 20th May

Just something to note there is a chance of a break in the weather on Wednesday which could bring some big thunderstorms but this is a week away yet but has been forecast on the last few ECMWF runs.
