Great start to our lads this year against a fantastic Carrick side away from home.. we found out early the level of football we will be against this season.. we had a game plan and stuck to it weathered the storm and got the break through from Ollie Millea. They fought back to make it 1-1 and Ollie Byrne put us 2 1 up before a super free kick made it 2 a piece...

It finished 2-2 but our lads fought and battled all game they never gave up fighting..good start to the season a hard earned point..

Man of the match for Piltown was Tadgh Kinsella what a super performance he put in.

Cannot fault any player on the pitch they were all fantastic and a definite mention for Ollie Millea who was a handful.

Our 1st adventure for our youngest u12 Girls team took us to Ballinroad today, and what a game it turned out to be a highly entertaining match which being honest there was nothing between both teams, Ballinroad took their chance with 7 mins to go which proved the deciding factor.

Massive well done to the squad of girls who done themselves and the club proud today ⚽

U12 A Schoolgirls

The girls made their competitive league debut on Saturday against Park Rangers in what turned out to be a good, hard-fought battle between two evenly matched teams.

Both sides battled hard for every ball, but it was park rangers who took the lead just before half-time with a long-range free kick.

The second half was much the same, with neither team giving an inch. Piltown eventually got the goal the girls deserved when Ruth fired a low shot from the edge of the 18-yard box into the bottom corner.

A huge credit must go to all 12 girls who played their part in an entertaining and competitive game. They showed great determination, teamwork and commitment throughout, and can be very proud of their performance.

Piltown Vs Seaview Celtic (29 Aug 2026)

We welcomed Seaview Celtic to Kildalton Park for the first match of the 2026/27 season. After an entire summer of sunny days, we kicked off our first match in the rain!
With only a few training sessions under our belts the lads started well, however we couldn’t breakdown the Seaview team throughout the first half. It was turning out to be a very even match with both sides creating chances throughout the half.
We went in at half time without seeing any goals. Eventually, halfway through the second half, we got a ball into the box from the right-hand side and Caelum was on hand to put the ball into the back of the net with a great strike.
The remainder of the match was very even with Seaview really pressing for an equaliser. Credit to out lads for holding out the visitors until the final whistle. It was great to come away with 3 points from our first match of the season.
Thanks to Seaview Celtic for what was a very competitive match. Looking forward to another great match later in the season.
