Mullagh Biodiversity Walkway
Mullagh Biodiversity Walkway is jointly owned and managed by Mullagh Sports Partnership, a partnership between Mullagh Sports Centre and CLG Cuchulainn. It is not owned, managed, or maintained by Cavan County Council.
All patrons avail of the amenity at the discretion of the Partnership. We therefore ask that all patrons kindly adhere to all rules and regulations in place.
DOG POO
Dog fouling is unpleasant and makes our paths, parks, and green spaces less enjoyable for all. All dog walkers are responsible for cleaning up any dog fouling by their pet and are encouraged to avail of the bags and bins onsite.
To the vast majority of dog walkers who respect the amenity, thank you.
These bins are emptied and cleaned every week by a volunteer, not by the Council. It is also not part of Declan’s duties to clean up after dogs walked on the walkway, and he should not be asked to do so.
Please, if you note any dog fouling, call it out. CCTV is in operation. However, we do not want to go down the route of providing this information to the Dog Warden, but will do so if necessary.
A simple bag and a quick bin stop make a big difference.
COFFEE CUPS
Please dispose of your coffee cup in the correct bin. All coffee cups provided by the Horse Whisperer’s Coffee Truck are compostable and should be placed in the brown bin onsite.
PLEASE CHECK
Did you know that most takeaway coffee cups cannot be recycled? Even though they look like paper, they have a hidden waterproof lining and should be placed in the general waste bin. However, many lids are recyclable and should be placed in the blue recycling bin.
YELLOW BIN
Thank you to all who place their plastic bottles and/or cans in the yellow bin. Money raised through this initiative is used to purchase petrol and other materials used in the maintenance and mowing of the facility.
MSP would like to thank all partner organisations involved in making Mullagh a cleaner, greener, and safer place for all, and ask you to support Mullagh Tidy Towns and play your part as annual judging takes place over the coming weeks.
