After an incredible contest filled with determination, skill, and heart, it was 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 who emerged victorious and claimed the Connacht title over John Bourke🏆🔥

🏐⭐ Well done to everyone who took part in our Skills competition!

Today was a fantastic opportunity for our players to showcase the hard work, dedication, and progress they have made through training From throwing and catching to movement, teamwork, and game awareness, every participant demonstrated their commitment to improving their handball skills.

The assessment wasn't about winning or losing—it was about development, learning, and celebrating the journey each player is on. The effort, focus, and positive attitude shown throughout were a credit to everyone involved.

Keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves, and keep enjoying the game. Every training session and every challenge helps build the handball players of the future.

Congratulations to all who took part—you should be proud of what you achieved today! 💪🏐🌟

We’re delighted to share that ATU Galway has partnered with GAA Handball to introduce aligned scoring categories for Sports Scholarships for the 2026/27 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students competing at club, county, national or international level to receive support while continuing their education. The new system is designed to recognise players across a wide range of levels and help them balance sport and college life.

We’ll be working closely with ATU Galway over the coming months as this new initiative is rolled out, and we would strongly encourage any interested players — and their parents — to take a look. 📌

Ethan Nally and Cian Brady rose to the occasion when it mattered most, showcasing outstanding skill, determination, and heart. Their incredible performances were key in driving the Mayo team to the All-Ireland U17 Semi-Final, where they proudly brought home silver for their county. 🥈
