⚽️ It was weekend of plenty of exciting football for us as we had a Platoria of teams in action with a mixture of results.
Premier League
Dines 4-Mungret Reg 1
⚽️ James Fitzgerald
⚽️ Famara Kassam
⚽️ Tony Mambouana
⚽️ Shane Dillon.
It was Premier League football in the Green on Sunday morning as we hosted Mungret Regional on what was a beautiful morning for a ball game.
The pitch in Garryowen was in Immaculate order coupled with a good crowd who witnessed a good ball game unfold..
We got the perfect start as inside the opening minute we took the lead with a sublime goal as James Fitzgerald finished off in style After been set up by Tony Mambouana. After this we created numerous opportunities but failed to apply the finishing touch as at the opposite end our Custodian Josie Pereria excelled effecting a wonderful save.
Right on the stroke of half time James Fitzgerald was the provider as his precise ball into the area was flashed to the net by
Famara Kassam.
On the turn over Mungret came more into the game as on the hour mark they stuck from a free to leave it at 2-1.
How ever we were then awarded a penalty as
Famara Kassam was tripped up in the area as from the resulting spot kick Tony Mambouana dispatched the penalty to the net
In the final minutes Kevin Barry linked up with Shane Dillon who made it 4-1 as we bagged 3 vital Leauge points in what was a good team performance.
