Quick reminder that u16s girls rugby is back at Abbeyfeale RFC. Training takes place at the Grove, Abbeyfeale, on Sundays from 11-12, and we are always happy to have new players, with or without rugby experience! Juniors playing their second Kerry/McElligot Cup this Sunday when we travel back to Killorglin. Delighted with the support in Castleisland last weekend and would appreciate the same this Sunday as the lads look to build on last week’s win.

Have your kids grown out of their club kit? Pass it on to the next generation of Abbeyfeale RFC players! Our minis in the photo above are wearing recycled Abbeyfeale tops and jumpers, and we are always appreciative of any donations. If you’d like to pass on any gear to our minis, it can be dropped to the grove on Sunday mornings from 10-11 while training is on, or contact 087 695 4029 to organise alternative drop offs! Thank you for your help 🏉💛

We were delighted to have our minis back for their second training session of the season! After the summer off, it’s been brilliant seeing all the familiar faces back again, and some new ones too. We are looking forward to seeing more from this group as the season continues! Training sessions take place on Sunday mornings, from 10-11, new players are always welcome with teams ranging from u6s to u12s🏉💛

Junior rugby is back.

Join us as we make the short trip to Castleisland for a McElligot Cup fixture. The game also doubles up as the Matthew O’Connor memorial game. Kick off at 3pm. Come along and cheer the lads on.

Huge well done to our Desmond Rugby U18.5 team, who took on UL Bohemians and emerged victorious with a final score of 33 – 14! This was a brilliant way to kick off the season, with tries from David Roche, Jack Behan(2), Evan Lynch and Evan Fitzell, four of which were converted by captain Darragh O’Keeffe. A great start to the season and plenty of positives to build on. A big thanks to the parents and supporters for cheering on the boys, and especially to those who helped out in the clubhouse. Onwards and upwards! 🏉

It’s interpro finals week! Munster u18 girls will take on Leinster in Shay Murtagh Park, Mullingar RFC on Sunday the 30th of August, with a kick off at 3:00pm. Abbeyfeale and Killarney RFCs Danielle Naughton has represented her Munster side in all three games so far. She played the entirety of the first two games, and made a huge impact off the bench in game three. As her team head to Mullingar for their final outing of the summer, any and all support would be hugely appreciated. Tickets are available for the fixtures on Eventbrite. Everyone at Abbeyfeale RFC wishes the girls the very best of luck! 🏉⭐️

Desmond Rugby u14s training is back! These sessions are open to boys born in 2013, and all players, with or without experience are welcome. Training takes place on Tuesdays at 6:00pm at The Grove, Abbeyfeale and Thursdays at 6:00pm at the Newcastle West Rugby Club Killeline grounds. We look forward to seeing our players there! 🏉

Abbeyfeale Girls u16s rugby is back! Training will be back on Sunday the 30th of August from 11-12. It’s been a long summer off, so we are very excited to be back in the swing of things in regular season.
