A few hours spent this morning exploring the 12 Oโ€™Clock Hills, taking in the scenery and enjoying a bit of peace and quiet. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Stopped off at Sunyata for a few minutes before heading home. ๐Ÿง 

Fresh air, movement and a chance to switch off for a while. Sometimes thatโ€™s all you need. ๐Ÿ™

5.15am start this morning. ๐ŸŒ…

With four young kids at home, getting up early is often the only chance I get to fit in a walk, some movement and my own training before the day begins.

Iโ€™ve learned over the years that if I donโ€™t look after my own health and wellbeing, itโ€™s much harder to help others prioritise theirs.

Now itโ€™s time for a day of PT sessions and group fitness classes. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just a quick thank you to everyone who has supported and attended my Active Agers 55+ group fitness classes over the last while ๐Ÿ™Œ

Iโ€™m genuinely very grateful for the support, the encouragement and the word of mouth from so many people.

We now have people in their:โœ”๏ธ 50sโœ”๏ธ 60sโœ”๏ธ 70sโœ”๏ธ 80sโœ”๏ธ Even 90s

all taking part and enjoying the classes each week ๐Ÿ’ช

These classes are about so much more than exercise. They focus on:๐Ÿ‘‰ Strength for everyday life๐Ÿ‘‰ Balance & mobility๐Ÿ‘‰ Staying active and independent๐Ÿ‘‰ Confidence & wellbeing๐Ÿ‘‰ And having a great social outlet each week ๐Ÿ˜Š

Week 6 complete ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™

Tonight marked the final night of my 6 Week Mindfulness & Wellbeing Course, and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part over the last number of weeks. It was a privilege to guide such a lovely group throughout the course ๐Ÿ˜Š

We focused on self-compassion โ€” learning how to speak to ourselves with more kindness, understanding and patience, especially during stressful or difficult moments.

Over the 6 weeks we covered a wide range of practical tools and techniques including:
โœจ Mindfulness & meditation
โœจ Breathing exercises & grounding techniques
โœจ Stress and anxiety management
โœจ Unhelpful thinking styles & CBT tools
โœจ Positive psychology & gratitude
โœจ FLOW activities
โœจ Learning to respond rather than react
โœจ Building healthier habits for mental wellbeing

The goal of the course is to provide practical tools that people can use in everyday life to help reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm while improving emotional wellbeing and self-awareness ๐ŸŒฟ

Just a final reminder that our new Active Agers 55+ group fitness classes are starting this Wednesday morning in the Tullyvarraga Community Hall, Shannon ๐Ÿ™Œ

Week 5 complete tonight of the 6-Week Mindfulness & Mindset Course ๐Ÿ™

Another really positive evening with the group.

Tonight we focused on understanding stress, worry and overthinking, along with practical tools and techniques to help calm the mind and body.

We explored:
โ€ข Stress management tools
โ€ข Breathing techniques
โ€ข Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR)
โ€ข Breaking automatic pilot habits
โ€ข Positive psychology exercises
โ€ข Ways to respond rather than react to stress and emotions

One of the biggest goals of the course is helping people build a practical โ€œmental toolkitโ€ they can use in everyday life to better manage stress, anxiety, overwhelm and negative thinking.

Itโ€™s great to see people becoming more aware of their thoughts, more present in daily life and learning simple tools that can genuinely make a difference to overall wellbeing.

Mindfulness isnโ€™t about stopping thoughts โ€” itโ€™s about learning how to respond to them differently ๐Ÿ˜Š
