Well done to our U12 Red team on capturing the U12 Cup today with a great win over Bunratty Cratloe. Goals from Captain Finn Toomey, Conor Murphy and Loughlin Downes and a penalty save from Jake McCarthy were the key moments that helped the Bridge lads to their win.
Speedy recovery to Joe Madden who suffered a knee injury in the second half. We were glad to see Joe return to join the boys at the clubhouse for some post match celebrations! Well done and thanks to Bunratty Cratloe for a tough and sporting game as always. Thanks also to CSSL, referree Brian Punch and to Tulla Utd for the use of their fantastic facilities!

A Clare parent has launched a petition to see a secondary school built one of the county’s fastest growing villages.

Maria Beville, a parent living in Sixmilebridge, created the petition to call for a second level institution for the village’s growing number of post-primary students.

Despite having “one of the largest [primary] schools in Clare”, students from the large village must travel to Limerick, Shannon, or Tulla to attend a secondary school.

After hearing growing concerns from fellow Clare parents, Maria decided to take the matter into her own hands.
