🐎☀️ SWRC Dressage Fun Day ☀️🐎

What a fantastic day we had at our Dressage Fun Day at Skevanish Equestrian Centre 🐴✨️

Despite a mix of sunshine and the odd shower, the day had a wonderful atmosphere from start to finish, with lovely horses, supportive competitors and a fantastic team of volunteers ☀️🌦️

It was great to see riders of all levels taking part, encouraging one another and enjoying a day of friendly competition. From Walk/Trot right through to the graded and open classes, there was something for everyone 👏

A huge thank you to all of our competitors, volunteers, judges, scribes, helpers and supporters who helped make the day such a success. Events like these simply wouldn't happen without you.

Congratulations again to all of our prize winners and team competitors, and thank you to everyone who joined us for such an enjoyable day.

🐎🏵 Dressage Fun Day Results 🏵🐎

What a fantastic day of dressage at Skevanish Equestrian Centre 👏✨

A huge congratulations to all of our prize winners and to everyone who took part. It was wonderful to see so many combinations out enjoying themselves, supporting one another and giving it their best throughout the day 💜

The standard of riding was excellent across all classes and the team competition was closely contested, making for a brilliant day's competition 🐎✨

🐎✨ Dressage Fun Day – Tomorrow! ✨🐎

The arenas are set, the parking is ready and we're looking forward to welcoming everyone to Skevanish Equestrian Centre tomorrow for our SWRC Dressage Fun Day 👏💜

A few reminders before you travel:

🏇 All tests will take place in the main sand arena, which will be divided into Arena 1 and Arena 2.

🏇 Warm-up will be in the smaller sand arena beside the main arena.

🚗 Parking will be available in the paddocks on the right-hand side and in the field on the left as you drive into the venue.

☕ Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available from the horse box beside the sand arena.

🚂 The Innishannon Steam Rally is also taking place tomorrow, so please allow a little extra time for your journey as traffic may be busier than usual in the area.

Entries are now open for our upcoming Regional Individual & Team Dressage Fun Day at Skevanish Equestrian Centre on Sunday 31st May 🎉

Open to all AIRC South West Region members, the day will include graded and open individual classes, team competition, Prix Caprilli and Walk/Trot 🐎✨

Whether you’re aiming for a competitive outing, trying a new level, riding as part of a team or simply looking for a fun and supportive day out with your horse, we’d love to see you there 💛

Rosettes will be awarded from 1st to 6th place in all classes, with a perpetual trophy up for grabs for the winning team 🏆✨

It promises to be a lovely day of dressage, team spirit and great club atmosphere 👏

A little reminder about our upcoming dressage lessons at Skevanish on Saturday 23rd May 🐴

Open to SWRC members and associates, these small group sessions are a great opportunity to focus on flatwork, accuracy, confidence and test riding in a relaxed and supportive environment 🐎✨

Perfect for anyone preparing for qualifiers or simply looking to improve their overall way of going 💛

A brilliant day for South West Riding Club at the 70/80cm Team Show Jumping Qualifiers 🐎💛

We were so proud to field a team at this competition for the first time — a huge milestone for the club and a lovely step forward as we continue to build our show jumping presence ✨

Our team:

🏇 Rebecca Dwyer & Lets Go Lady – a strong first round and a lovely clear in round two 👏

🏇 Noreen Stewart & Garraí na Geata's Boy – a super clear first round followed by a solid second round 💪

🏇 Holly Barrett & Special Visa – gave it their all and represented the club with great determination 💛

It was a lovely day with great support throughout — thank you to everyone who came along to help and cheer on the team, it meant a lot 👏

A big thank you as well to Highland Lodge Riding Club for hosting such a well-run event — everything was organised, safe and on time, with a great atmosphere (and lovely food too!) 😊

We’re so proud of this team and excited for what’s ahead as we continue to grow our jumping within the club 🐎✨
