We have 7 adult teams 1st 2nd u21 Reserve and Over 42 (Male) Senior and Over 35 (Female)and we've an Underage Academy for Boys and Girls where we Currently have 13 teams in the local leagues from ages u10 to u18 and we have our Academy for ages 5 to 9

Our West United FC Academy Awards took place today in the Claddagh Hall,Photos to follow later but we must mention Matthew Forde getting Supporter of the year for the 13th year in a row and he has himself installed as hot favourite for No 14 next year,Matthew as always got the biggest cheer of the day 💚 Well done Matthew 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬⚽️⚽️⚽️

The West Over 35 Ladies made it 2 from 2 with a good win over Kiltullagh who battled all the way to the end.

Nicola Deacy took the scoring honours and a match ball for the mantle piece,Captain Katie Dowling was on the double ⚽️⚽️ and Danielle Goldbey got her 1st West goal with a poachers finish her husband Dave would be proud of.

Well done to all the girls and special mention for Keeper Bairbre Curran and her back 4 for two clean sheets in a row 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬⚽️⚽️⚽️

West got off the mark in the over 35s league tonight where a rapid start saw them 3 up after 10 minutes,Sean Keogh with the 2 poachers goals and Mixer Devanney scored from distance,Keith Ward almost made it 4 but hit the post from a free kick.

Oughterard pulled one back to leave it 3-1 at HT with a huge breeze behind their backs in the 2nd half to come.

West were awarded a penalty early in the 2nd half when Devanney was upended,Keith Ward made no mistake from 12 yards,Oughterard made it 4-2 almost immediately with a great header from a corner.

West put daylight between the sides again when Jamie Sherry scored a brilliant solo goal but Oughterard made it 5-3 with 15 minutes to play when they scored from the spot.

West had to weather a late storm but Eoghan Dooley was outstanding at centre back and with time almost up Willie Grant released Sean Keogh who with just the keeper to beat declined his hat trick and teed up Devanney for his 2nd and make it 6-3.

Blain Sheridan Rico Casey and Keith Ward impressed for West and the youthful Tony Crowe made his over 35 comeback after last night's over 43s comeback 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Tony Crowe ⚽️⚽️

Cometh the hour Cometh the man,Tony Crowe has had more comebacks than Westlife and tonight he came off the bench to bring West back from the brink.

Trailing 1-0 at HT and a Crossbar denying Cregmore a 2nd,West were in trouble but when Mark Sweeney played Tony Crowe through on 80 minutes,Crowe provided a delicious dinked lobbed finish from an acute angle.

With time running out Crowe was not finished yet and his 57 year old legs still carry some of the old pace and he showed the Cregmore defence a clean pair of heels in the 90th minute to win it for West,He was denied a superb hat trick by the woodwork in injury time.

So a great win for West in very blustery conditions in the Swamp to make it 2 wins from 2 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬⚽️⚽️⚽️

3 Years ago today,We lost an incredible man when 1st team coach Dave Daly passed away,Dave was more than a coach at West Utd.

He was a father figure to us all and he brightened up every room he walked into,Today we think of Dave's Family and friends.

We as a club were blessed to have such an incredible human being amongst us,Thanks for all the laughs,the advice,the encouragement and always the positivity you brought everywhere.

You are missed beyond words by all at West Utd FC 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬⚽️⚽️⚽️
