🏁 After 7 rounds of league football, both our Adult teams sit top of their respective divisions.
A lot of hard work has gone in from players, management, backroom teams and supporters to get us to this point, but there's still plenty left to be played. One game at a time. 💪⚫⚪

Match report: Dunderry vs Dunsany
Adult League Div 3 R7
Thurs 28th May
Venue: Dunsany

Dunsany hosted their near neighbours and fell behind by two before converting a free.
From Eoin Kelly's kick out Darragh Fay broke the ball down to Mark Leavy who gave a great pass into McKeever who rounded his man and slotted over. The home team respond with a point from play.

A Callum Bartley intersection and off load to Mark Leavy to Cathal Barron and finally to Adam Kelly for a fine team score.

Dunsany weren't over impressed however and their response garnished them the first green flag of the evening.
The visitors finished the half strongest through a finely Rian Liggan point and another Kelly free.
Half time 1-02 to 0-6

The home team scored first after the interval before Kelly raised an orange flag from placed ball after Isaac McKeever was bundled over.

A free and black card the other end of the pitch kept Dunsany in the hunt however McKeever was a thorne in Dunsanys side and Kelly was on hand to convert from another free.

Two points from play either side of another Kelly free after William Tracy was put to ground kept both sets of supporters interested.

Another Kelly free after Jamie Duffy was pulled down was followed by a point from play for the home team.

The move of the match for Turleys men put distance between the teams with time running out. It started when a textbook tackle from Rian Liggan saw him storm out with ball in hand and finds the man of the moment McKeever who did really well on the sideline to put William Tracy into space. He set sail for goal and put the ball on a plate for Kelly who rounded his man and burried it into the roof of the net.

The Dunderry lads played keep ball to wind down the clock and restricted Dunsany to a pointed free before the final whistle sounded.

A good performance and win from Dunderry on a score line of 1-08 to 1-11

Adam Kelly 1 -10 (7 f & 1 x 2p F)
