Match Day Fueling ⚽️

A full day of eating is structured to fuel performance, with regular meals pre and post training to support energy output and recovery.

A lot of the fueling guidelines we use can differ massively depending on the sport, position, gender and height of the person. 🏅

This is just a rough match day eating plan that works for one of our clients and this is just about topping up because the hard work is actually done elsewhere for fueling.

Light meals, easy to digest and familiarity won’t steer you wrong on the day. 🤝🏼

PWR UP: Episode 4 ⚡️

Your first few weeks are so crucial when you’re getting back into the gym or joining it for the first time.

We always recommend a lighter phase of training to beginners or even athletes who have just finished up intense campaign’s. 🤝🏼

Some of the reasons we love a prep block is because of how much we can focus on building the right sustainable habits for a person whether it’s from a movement or nutritional perspective.

Common goals of a prep phase would involve: ⬇️

- Developing work capacity and conditioning.
- Fixing imbalances and addressing weak points.
- Strengthening tendons and joint positions.
- Increasing training volume to reduce the risk of heavier training down the line.

Don’t hate your first few weeks in the gym, use it wisely and your body will reap the rewards. 💥

We’ve worked with a lot of GAA athletes in the past and currently remain working with many…

There was always one common factor when it came from a performance and physical standpoint. 1️⃣

The off season felt like a long weekend, no real time to rebuild fitness. No proper window to let injuries fully heal, just straight back into the grind. 🤕

And we wonder why players are always breaking down.

Recovery is part of performance. Until that’s respected, players are always going to be playing catch-up.
