FREE CARDIAC SCREENING
DILLON QUIRKE FOUNDATION

We're delighted to say that the Dillon Quirke Foundation, in partnership with Shamrocks FC, is offering FREE heart screening for children aged 12–18 years as they continue to raise awareness of SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome).

This screening event provides a valuable opportunity for young people in our community to avail of professional cardiac screening at no cost.

Please see the poster for full details. This is a fantastic initiative, and we encourage as many families as possible to take advantage of it.

DSBL U13 Premier

A good performance from our U13 Shamrocks Celtic side this evening against Quay Celtic.

Goals came from Cillian Farrelly with a hat-trick, Erik Palomo with two goals, Tiernan Ward from the penalty spot, and Tom McKeown with his first goal at U13 level.

A special mention to Tom McKeown, who is still an U12 player, on scoring his first goal for the U13s. Also, well done to Oscar Murdock, another U12 player who stepped up and put in a very solid performance.

There were plenty of good passages of play throughout the game, with the squad working hard and showing a positive attitude from start to finish.

Our Clancy Cup journey comes to an end at the quarter-final stage. Despite the result, the lads gave everything and battled right to the final whistle.

DSBL U14 Premier
Shamrocks Celtic 2 – 2 Muirhevnamor Celtic

A game of two halves today as our U14s showed great character to battle back from two goals down and earn a well-deserved draw against a strong Muirhevnamor Celtic side.

The visitors opened the scoring after 15 minutes and doubled their advantage just before half-time. Shamrocks found themselves under pressure in the first half, with Evan Duffy producing a number of important saves to keep the game within reach.

The second half was a completely different story, with Shamrocks flying out of the blocks and creating chance after chance. Their persistence paid off with 15 minutes remaining when Cillian Farrelly reacted quickest to a goalmouth scramble and rifled the ball into the net to reduce the deficit.

Shamrocks continued to push forward and, after a fine save from the Muirhevnamor goalkeeper denied Erik Palomo, they won a corner. Kaylem Thornton delivered an excellent ball into the box and Dane Murray rose to score the equaliser.

The boys kept pressing right to the final whistle and were unlucky not to find a winner in the closing stages.

A great game played in a fantastic spirit by both teams.

Special mention to Evan Duffy, Michael Bellew and Aaron Kirk, who were outstanding throughout. ☘️

Everyone at Shamrocks FC would like to wish Michael Bellew, the DSBL U14 Representative Squad and management the very best of luck in today's Kennedy Cup Shield Final against Clare.

Reaching a Kennedy Cup Final is a tremendous achievement and one that Michael, his family, teammates and coaches can be extremely proud of.

Enjoy the occasion, give it everything, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The entire club is behind you, Michael. Best of luck to all involved and hopefully the lads can bring the shield home.
