What a weekend Racing on the streets of my home town.
My gear leaver broke in qualifying, and I was only 5th on the grid.
In the race I worked my way up to 2nd and I was catching the leader David Wright, when I developed and engine problem, which was caused by the engine over revving because of the broken gear lever in qualifying.
I still managed to finish in 3rd which got me a podium in my home town. But more importantly I set the fastest lap in my charger to the front, which was the fastest lap of the weekend. As the race never took place again, I have the honour of holding the outright lap record for the Dundalk street circuit.
