Forever starts with you 🤍

I’ve imagined this moment for a long time, but what I love most isn’t the ring or the proposal. It’s the person standing beside me.

Yemi, choosing you has always felt easy.

I fell in love with your mind first, the way you see the world, the way you think deeply, and the way you notice things others miss. Then I fell in love with your heart: your kindness, your patience, your calm, your humour, and the way you love people so naturally.

You have loved every version of me. You’ve stood beside me through my hardest seasons, celebrated my happiest ones, and reminded me that I never have to be anything other than myself with you.

Watching you become a father has only made me love you more. The way you love Theodore, guide him, and show him what it means to be gentle, strong, and compassionate is something I admire every day.

You are my safe place, my best friend, and the person I want beside me through every season life brings. The messy ones, the beautiful ones, the unexpected ones, and all the ordinary moments in between.

I’m excited for the life we’re building. For more memories, more laughter, more adventures, and all the chapters still waiting for us.

This isn’t about a perfect future. It’s about choosing each other, exactly where we are, over and over again.

Yemi, I can’t wait to be your wife.

Forever grateful that it’s you.

My first 10k Run 💜

My very first 10K… and what a day it was. 💜🏃‍♀️

The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon was everything I hoped it would be and more.

The atmosphere?

Absolutely electric.

From the moment I crossed the start line until the very last kilometre, the streets of Dublin were lined with supporters cheering every single woman on.

It wasn’t just a race.

It felt like one giant celebration of women supporting women.

Thousands of women. Thousands of different stories. One finish line.

The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon is the largest all-women’s event of its kind in the world, bringing together women of all ages and abilities to run, jog, or walk 10K together.

I signed up for me.

Not to prove anything to anyone else.
Not to chase anyone else’s pace.

Just to see what I was capable of.

I’ll admit… I thought it was going to be much tougher than it was.

Don’t get me wrong, it was still hard!

The warm weather definitely kicked in around the 7km mark. I grabbed water at the aid station, and knew I’d get a stitch but dehydration wasn’t an option. So sacrificed my pace.

Instead of panicking, I listened to my body.

I walked for a kilometre, let the stitch settle, then got back into my rhythm and ran the final couple of kilometres.

And it worked.

✨ Officially finishing my very first 10K in under 70 minutes! 🥹

A huge reminder that sometimes success isn’t about never slowing down…

It’s about knowing when to adapt so you can keep moving forward.

Here’s to many more start lines, finish lines, and women cheering each other on. 💜

My second triathlon... but my FIRST open water triathlon🌊🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

✨23.05.26✨

Lake edition. And wow... what an experience.

I’ll be honest...

I’d never actually swam in open water before race day.

Looking back... first mistake😂

I knew it before I even started.

About 20 minutes in the lake...

No bueno. 😅

Open water swimming is a completely different sport to swimming in a pool. The colder water, no walls to push off, swimming in a pack, trying to sight where you’re going... it definitely caught me off guard.

But that’s exactly why we race ✨to learn✨

🚴🏽‍♀️ The bike felt great again. I settled into my rhythm and actually enjoyed it.

🏃🏽‍♀️And here’s the biggest win...

After getting a horrible stitch in my first triathlon from drinking too much on the bike, I actually took my own advice this time and didn’t overdo the fluids.

No stitch! 🙌

Sometimes progress isn’t about being faster...

Sometimes it’s simply learning from your last race.

One thing I absolutely loved was the atmosphere.

The competitors were so encouraging, the spectators created an amazing buzz, and the whole event felt like such a celebration of getting outside and challenging yourself.

There was even:
🧘‍♀️ A free yoga hub
🥐 An athlete finisher buffet
🍔 Plenty of food vendors
🏅 And, of course... a medal at the finish!

10/10 would recommend.

The biggest lesson?

Practice before race day if you can.

But don’t let not feeling ready stop you from signing up.

Sometimes the race isn’t where you prove yourself...

It’s where you discover what to work on next.

Here’s to triathlon number 2 🩷

My first pool triathlon... and it definitely didn’t go to plan🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

But I did it.

✨26.04.26✨

Here’s how it all happened...

📍 September 2025: I started running.

📍 October 2025: I finally bought a bike and started cycling.

📍 January 2026: I signed up for my first triathlon... then completely forgot I’d entered it. 😂

📍 March 2026: I joined an 8-week “New to Triathlon” programme to prepare.

Three weeks into the programme, I got the race reminder...

Safe to say I wasn’t ready.

But instead of pulling out, I showed up anyway.

Week 4 of my programme became race week.

🏊 The swim? Honestly... awful. I panicked, my breathing went out the window, and it genuinely felt like I’d forgotten how to swim.

🚴 The bike? My second favourite part. I felt strong, settled, and actually enjoyed it.

🏃 The run? Usually my favourite. It started well, but I’d taken on too much fluid before heading out and ended up with the worst stitch. I spent most of it trying to breathe through the pain and keep moving.

Was it the race I imagined?

Not even close.

But it gave me something far more valuable than a finish time...

Experience.

I now know exactly what I need to work on:
✔️ Practice open-water and race-day swim nerves.
✔️ Nail my nutrition and hydration.
✔️ Get more transitions under my belt.
✔️ Trust the process.

Sometimes the biggest lesson isn’t having the perfect race.

It’s proving to yourself that you can show up before you feel ready.

Because here’s the thing...

✅Practice before race day whenever you can. It makes a huge difference.

But also don’t wait until you feel 100% ready to start.

Sometimes doing the thing before you think you’re ready is exactly what prepares you for the next one.

This wasn’t the finish line.

It was the starting line.

✅Follow for future race tips

And just like that, she’s off🌏🇦🇺🐨🦘

One last Chinese takeaway in the Irish sunshine.

Mam trying to hold it together (she wasn’t), Dad quietly emotional, and Leanne soaking up one last evening with us🌞🕶️

A quick stop to see a friend on the way in Dubai, then Perth, where family will keep her well fed, well loved, and out of trouble. One year to start with, and the world at her feet✈️👣

We’re not the type to say it often, but we’re proud of you Leanne.

Go grab it.

Ireland will still be here: grey, rainy, and waiting, whenever you’re ready🍀

Safe travels. We love you.

Happy Father’s Day to the rock of our family, Yemi❤️

At 21 months, Theodore can’t quite find the words yet, so Mommy helped him say it.

He’d tell you that you’re 30, that sushi is your love language, and that your world is happiest when the house is clean and calm, eating good food, and your people are close.

He’d tell you about soccer Sundays and weekends full of plans we somehow always get to… even after a week of 5am gym starts, a long commute, a full-time job, and building your own fitness business on top of it all.

He’d repeat your little sayings back to you:
🥰I’m gonna getchu - because we’re in the loving trying classes phase
🥰 I love you - because knowing that you’re loved by your daddy is so important to you
🥰and that “Theo bean” thing is actually Mommy’s doing, you’re not even a fan, but it slips out anyway sometimes.

And if he could really say it himself, he’d tell you this: that you show up, you support him, and you’re proud of him no matter what. That’s the whole of it, really. We love you, Daddy ❤️

- Theodore 🥰

My first Triathlon 🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

My 2026 fitness goal ✅

Just placing this here bc who knows when I’ll actually do a proper recap and catch up on the gym mom trains for triathlon series 😅

The first but not the last! 🤪 2026 season has just begun.

Fr though, I enjoyed this triathlon more than the 3 duathlons… full details to come on my YT channel 🫠

Anyway, proud of myself!

Goal was set 1 year/ 12 months postpartum.
Gave myself a goal to achieve it before being 2 years/ 24 months postpartum.
Goal was achieved 19months postpartum.
7 months and she did it.

Proud because I’m a gym girl.
Proud because I hated running, feared cycling on the road, and never swam more than 50m consecutively.
Proud because I hated cardio (still a love hate but we’re getting there).
Proud because younger me would never.
Old me thought I could never.
And current me did it anyway!

To all the women out there.
Especially moms.
You can.
No matter the timeline.
You can.
