On Tuesday 2nd June 2026, the Clonea U12 Camógie team travelled to Modeligo for Round 6 of the U12 Camógie Championship. It was a beautiful sunny evening, and the pitch was in immaculate condition.

From the throw-in, it was clear that these were two evenly matched teams. Both sides battled hard throughout the opening half, with very little separating them at the break.

The second half continued in the same competitive fashion, with neither team willing to give an inch. It was an entertaining and hard-fought game, with every player showing great determination from start to finish.

This week’s special mention goes to Fia Mountain, in the half-forward line who worked tirelessly throughout the game. 👏🏻

The summer ☀️ finally come out on Saturday morning & it was perfect timing for Clonea who hosted a County u8 & u10 blitz. With over 140 kids in attendance it was a perfect morning for Camogie.

Visiting our village we had teams from Ferrybank, St Mollerans, Gaultier, Kilmacthomas, Mount Sion & Ballyduff

The girls confidence in their skills is growing more & more each game they play. Well Done to all the girls👏💚🤍

On Tuesday 19th May 2026, our U12 girls welcomed Lismore to Clonea for Round 5 of the U12 Camógie Championship. You’d never think it was 19th May’26, given the wintery conditions.

From the outset, Lismore showed their strength and proved to be the stronger side on the evening. However, the score of the game came just two minutes into the second half when Holly Power produced a moment of magic for Clonea — a superbly taken point from midfield after beating two players.

This young Clonea team battled bravely from start to finish and never gave up despite the challenging conditions. Well done girls on your great effort. 👏🏻
