The Munster U11 and U12 Combined Games took place this weekend at MTU in Cork.
Fergus AC was represented in style by Clodagh Griffin and Jack Higgins.

Clodagh was first up on Saturday taking part in the Girls U12 Pentathlon events. She competed in the 60m sprint, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump and 600m. She gave it her all and her overall score placed her in 2nd place🥈👏
Well done and congratulations Clodagh 💫

Next up it was the Boys U11 Quadathlon on Sunday where it was Jack’s turn to compete in the 60m sprint, Long Jump, Shot put and 600m. He competed very well in each event where his overall score placed him in 4th place. Well done Jack. 👏

Both represented the club so well & enjoyed the experience!

A busy weekend of athletics over the last couple of days!
The Munster Athletics U9 - U12 Championships took place in Waterford this weekend and our young athletes represented our club in style on the provincial stage! First up were the girls on Saturday. Clodagh Griffin came home with 2 medals in the U12 Girls category, bronze in the 60m sprint and gold in the Long Jump - Our Munster Champion 🥇 🥉
Also competing on Saturday was Aedin Griffin. Aedin competed in both the Girls U10 sprint and Long jump showing great determination in both disciplines. Well done Aedin👏
It was the turn of the boys on Sunday. Cathal Carmody placed 2nd in the Boys U 11 Long Jump with Jack Higgins in 4th place. Together Cathal and Jack placed 1st as a pair making them Munster Long Jump Champions! 🥇
Jack placed 4th in the 60m sprint and along with Cathal finished 4th as a pair.👏
The Boys U11 Relay team of Cathal, Jack, CJ Clancy and Evan and Jack Moran placed 4th. Well done boys!

A number of our athletes also took part in the Community Games National Finals in Gormanstown Co Meath on Sunday.
Aoife O’Rourke started the day by placing 2nd in the Girls U16 5k and her team came 4th 👏
Cathal O’Rourke placed 3rd in the boys U16 5k and his team came 1st - All Ireland Champions👏
Órlaith O’Rourke, Naoise Cahill and Ryan Lynch and their team U13 XC 1,200m placed 1st - All Ireland Champions👏
Anna Murphy, Clodagh Griffin and Saoirse Donnelly and their team Girls U12 MDR team placed 1st - All Ireland Champions👏
Zack McNamara competed well in the Boys U12 MDR as did Sean Hick with Boy U 14 MDR!
A great weekend of achievements, well done everyone for taking part😊🏃‍♀️🏃

The Great Limerick Run took place over the weekend, kicking off with the Kids Fun Run on Saturday afternoon. Among all the kids taking part were Philip Crowe and Sean Keoghan. Well done boys!
After all the success of our juvenile athletes on Saturday it was the turn of our adult members to shine! ☀️ Well done to everyone representing Fergus AC in the Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay👏🏃‍♀️🏃

Our Fergus AC Athletes enjoyed a great day at the Clare County Athletics in Craughwell today.
We had 28 athletes competing across many track and field events with an array of medals being won. Aside from medals, each athlete showed great determination and we could see the benefit of all their training and hardwork throughout the year. Well done to all for taking part and making everyone at Fergus AC so proud 😊👏👏
