We are absolutely delighted to see Lorcan crowned champion today after a brilliant performance in the final of the Celtic Warriors Box Cup. He showed incredible skill, heart, and composure throughout, earning a well deserved victory.
Lorcan stayed focused and let his boxing do the talking when it mattered most.
A true fighter in every sense not just for how he performed in the ring, but for how he handled everything around him.
We couldn’t be prouder 🥊💪. Thanks so much to the people that came to support Lorcan. It is really apperciated.

Just a little side note: There seems to be some confusion following posts shared by the opposing club. The result was initially announced incorrectly on the day, but when the referee went to the top table and the judges’ scorecards were reviewed, it was clearly confirmed as a 2–1 decision in favour of Lorcan. We dont know how or why this mistake was made but it was. Lorcan received his medal and certificate as the winner of his bout.
The other club were informed of the change of result. Both boxers received medals on the day, but the official result as recorded on the judges’ scorecards stands in Lorcan’s favour. Im sure the boxing club that held the tournament can also clarify this if needs be.
It was a fantastic contest between two very talented young boxers, and we wish the other lad all the very best going forward.
For full transparency, the judges’ scorecards can be requested, and we are happy for them to be reviewed and shared publicly. There are other clubs there who can confirm all of the above.

We witnessed some fantastic boxing this morning in Castlebar with Michael Levi and Benjamin showing great skill, determination, and heart in the ring. Unfortunately, John Gerard’s bout did not go ahead, which was disappointing, but the overall standard of boxing from our boys was high. Well done.

Our over-10s will be continuing training over the coming weeks. With competitions coming up for some, and others keen to keep their fitness and skills sharp, it’s great to see such commitment across the group. We’ve had really strong sessions on Monday and again this evening with excellent work in the spars and on the pads. Keep up the hard work everyone. Proud of you all 🥊🥊.
