Finally the second lads team who were only beaten by 6 aces in the final of division 3. Even though the lads were very disappointed this is a great achievement for the first time at Feile. This team consisted of William Cahill, Conor Melvin, Eoin Tuohy and Conor Melvin had a long day playing great Handball. They played teams from Kilkenny, Clare and Cork to qualified for Semi final where they played their best Handball beating a faniced Cavan team.
They represented themselves and the club brilliantly and we are very proud of them. Well done, we all look forward to next year because the lads are all still under age.

Next up was our under 13 team who competed in Division 5. This team consisted of Shane Rafter, Patrick Judge, Rory Munnelly and Tom Cahill. They played very well and were unlucky not to qualify for semi final beaten on aggregate scores in their group. This was a great experience for the young team who have 2 and 3 more years of Feile. Well done lads keep it up good days ahead.

A good day for Bofield underage handball in Feile which took place in Cork on Saturday. Firstly the girls team consisting of Emily Judge, Clodagh Houlihan, Clodagh Judge, Niamh Hanahoe and Isla Fox were narrowly beaten in Semi final of division two by Nenagh the eventual winner. There was 16 team in divisions two from all over Ireland. They beat teams from Cork, Kilkenny and Tyrone on the way. They put in big effort to prepare for this weekend so well done Girls we are all proud of you.

Well done to the five Bofield lads representing Mayo in the team of six Connacht finals yesterday. The team consisted of William Cahill, Rory Munnelly, Conor Melvin, Tom Cahill, Patrick Judge and Noah McNulty from Newport beat Sligo in semi final. They were beaten the final by a good Galway team. There some fantastic games in a close fought quality games which entertained the large crowd watching. Hard luck lads keep it up and your day will come.

Well done to Isla Fox and Ciara Foody playing in National Cumann na mBunscoil in Croke park on Thursday. They represented Bonniconlon National School, Mayo and Connacht in the under 13 doubles. They won five of six games they played and had very enjoyable day. Great achievement girls keep it up. 👏👏👏

As a mark of respect to the Rafter family on the death of their late father Jimmy Rafter there will be no training on Saturday. Congratulations to Isla Fox winning another connacht championship. She won the under 13 singles in Newport on Sunday. She won the tie breaker in a quality game of handball.
Hard luck to Tom Cahill who got all the way to the final in the under 12 where he played very well but was beaten by a very good Roscommon player.

Congratulations to Isla Fox and Ciara Foody winning the Connacht under 13 doubles in the Cumann na mBunscoil competition. They now go forward to reperent Bonniconlon National School, Mayo and Connacht in Croke Park in mid March. Well done girls.

Hard luck to Tom Cahill and Patrick Judge who lost the final against a good Galway team. They played well beating Sligo and Leitrim teams on way to final. Next year lads.

Congrats to William Cahill an Isla Fox on qualifying for the all Ireland in Gael Linn today in Salthill. They are the first team to reperent Bofield Handball Club in the All-Ireland Gael Linn competition. Best of luck on the 7th of February.
