On behalf of the committee of Ballaghaderreen Tennis Club, we would like to thank you all for supporting our fundraising table quiz in Durkin's last night.
We were blown away by the number of tables on Thursday, the huge amount of spot prizes we received for our raffle and donations from those who couldn't attend.
A special thanks to our quiz master Christy McCann who, I think we'll all agree, did a great job with the variety of questions he had. And also to Durkin's for providing a great venue to host our quiz.
The funds raised will go towards the redevelopment of our courts.
Once again, a huge thank you to you all 🙏🏼

It is with deep sadness that Ballaghaderreen Tennis Club has learned of the passing of Josephine (Josie) Clarke. Josie was a wonderful supporter of our club over the years, and her warm presence at the courts—always there to cheer on her family—never failed to brighten our days.

We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to our members Mary, Cathy, Tim, Jeremy, Adam and Luke, and to all the Clarke & Molloy families during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

(Peacefully) in her 97th, year with her family by her side in the wonderful care of Eithne and her staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Ballaghaderreen

Predeceased by her husband Brendan, son Canice and her son-in-law Alex

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Ray and John, daughters Mary and Catherine, grandchildren Paul, Rachel, Josh, Jonathan, Timothy, Jenny, Peter, Holly, David, Luke, Sam, Jeremy and Adam, great-grandchildren Eoin, Nuala, Asher, Caleb and Robbie, daughters-in-law Denise, Laura and Elsie, Catherine’ s partner, Haulie, sister-in-law Betty, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

‘Absent from the body, present with the Lord’
(2 Corinthians 5:8)

Josephine will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Friday (Dec 5th) from 5pm until 7pm.

Funeral Service to celebrate Josephine’s life will take place in St. Nathy’s College Hall on Saturday at 12noon, followed by interment in Kilcolman cemetery.

As a club we're very proud of the achievements of our u14 junior player Katie Cummins. Katie was recently selected to play u14 Interpros for Connacht, which takes place in Belfast this weekend. Best of luck to Katie, here pictured with members of her practice squad in Ballaghadereen...

We hope everyone is enjoying the tennis season so far! Just a gentle reminder to all members/parents that this years memberships are now due.

Membership fees are as follows:

* Family membership: €140
* Adult membership: €90
* Child membership: €30
* Membership runs May-May...
By paying your membership, you’re not only supporting the club, but also helping us move closer to exciting goals- like potentially funding future amenities such as a clubhouse!
Membership also gives you access to a range of fun tournaments and events throughout the year, including our weekly club nights held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the July Singles/Doubles league for adults and teens, and our Senior and Junior Tournament weeks, aswell as anytime court booking! It's also essential from an insurance standpoint...
