On this day in 1998 Jo Venglos would bring Lubo Moracvik to Celtic. The reaction of the "unbiased" Scottish media to his signing is still astonishing all these years later... incredible really. Anyone who wasn't around at the time? You should look up the headlines...🧐

After all that poison though? The best thing was what a player he turned out to be...a magician & an absolute genius when it came to the creation of space. Lubo also had a serious eye on him for a long range shot & was incredibly unselfish in front of goal.

His debut Old Firm game is still one for us all to look back at fondly ☺️

We were lucky to have you Lubo..."a gift from God" indeed 🤍💚
